Project Cars Season 4 Final Round
Posted on Tuesday 4th October at 3:02 PM
One final round remains on Project Cars before we farewell the amazing Ginetta GT4. It has won the hearts of many drivers over the last 6 weeks with its ability to provide extremely close racing and provide numerous overtaking opportunities with its slipstreaming capabilities. The tight and hilly Brands Hatch circuit would be the place to say goodbye to these cars, but who could master Paddock Hill bend lap after lap without coming unstuck? Let’s find out!

In Division 1 the current driver on a winning streak was Beau_Albert as he entered looking for a fourth straight win, however was soon drawn out of contention before the race begun as he suffered medical issues. This blew the door wide open as Beau struggled around adapting to a Controller. Slambobagan made full effect of this and ran away from polesitter Dan Holland to score 26 points to finish off his championship campaign, a result that launches him to second in the championship by 10 points. Stucar17 would match his best result of the season with second whilst Dan Holland followed in 3rd.
Slambobagan Q2 R1:
Well done beau for the championship, top Bloke still turns up to race even injured.
Well first pole and a win of the season doesn’t feel the same with beau on the controller and Sammy and sickskills not here, but I'll take it,
Got a crap start with trying to launch off with the clutch (new pedals)... Went from p1 to p3 by t1, held on the outside side by side with Stu, made slight contact at rise going up the hill couldn't see each other lucky the magnets with off, got around him around the outside of the hairpin, then chased down n64 for the rest of the lap,
He went wide into t1 saw a hole there so took it,, back to p1, which I managed to hold on to for the rest of the race, when Trl holl got to around a second by behind me I was stressing abit haha it would of been a good battle had you not spun hard luck.. Super quick lap thou mate, I got my 28.9 same lap and you instantly beat it again damn it haha.
Well done stucar looked really quick last night p2 is solid
Had fun this season thanks to all the organisers, and everyone who turned up each week
Had a test last night with the Z4 bring it on for s5 it's a beast

In Division 2 it was another fantastically strong showing from MikeRuntBike who took another victory after a slow start to the season. He dominated the field by over 15 seconds as V8power383 was next behind, VERY closely followed by SPL_Racing. How close? Oh just 4 hundreths of a second…. This car would most definitely be missed!

SPL_Racing R3:
Wow small grid tonight with only 7 starters but it was very close racing for the most part. I hit an invisible wall again running in second place which sucked but it put me in the pack of v8, AO, Cob and killer and the 5 of us ran nose to tail for about 2/3 of the race which was great fun. Great racing tonight as it has been all season, I've had some great battles in this little car and I'll be sad to see it go. But something a bit faster next season might be nice
I think that gives me third in the championship which I'm blown away with after coming up from Div 3last season. Bad luck to Zharvs and Adza for not racing tonight and missing the chance to fight for close finish to the championship.
Well done to mikeruntbikeon another win and clean sweep, you had a bit of a slow start to the season but really showed your true pace as the season went on.
Hitting these walls is getting pretty annoying but I'll be back for another season until we see what happens with A/C.

In Division 3 it was Garyw61 who took out the race win around the tricky British circuit in the tricky British car. Pole and Fastest lap was an added bonus for Gary who ends the season as the runner up. Anthony Chaplin and yet another podium for Kart-No-1 finish off an amazing season in Division 3 where close racing has always been on hand. Next season could be no different in this feisty pack!

Freddyp_33:
Thanks all to another good season of racing. Well done to Jason on the championship and the rest of the guys at the pointy of the field. I didn't get to see much of you guys running around mid pack.
I seemed to be pretty close with dj a lot of the time and we had a few good scraps throughout the season.
Good luck to anyone that gets promoted to div. 2, you have definitely shown you have the pace to be up there.

In Division 4 it was Cruciald00dz who left the field in his dust, leaving his nearest competitor over 30 seconds behind. Rumbleshorts and Ryzza5 were next across the line, just ahead of the angry pack of cars that followed closely behind! 43:23 minutes was over very quickly in Division 4, surely a lot in this division will miss the brilliant action it provided, as can be seen with the countless videos and smiles in the forums!

AnthonyB:
Got a good start from p3 on the grid tried to give everyone room in t1 and t2 started to follow cruciald00dzaround for a few laps as we developed a bit of a gap on the battle going on for 3rd. cruciald00dzmade a small mistake gifting me 1st but he quickly pulled me back in and passed me he then made another mistake giving me a 2 to 3 sec gap I then down shifted 1 to many into t4 putting the nose against the wall. I pissed about trying not to obstruct anyone and dropped back to 5th.
Chasing the pack they all seemed to make small mistakes and after a couple of laps I found myself in 2nd again but at around lap 15 a car appeared in front of me on pit straight which I just clipped then another one appeared on t1 the gone the big old DC.
So if my internet was playing up and it made anyone's race a problem I apologize for that.
Thanks for a good race and a good season congratulations to SuiCid3on your championship.
I am happy with a couple of podiums for my first season hope I didn't get in the road too much.
Thanks again see next time

Well, there we have it. The curtain closer on the season and now we have a bit of a wait until Season 5 picks up. Don’t worry about missing the season however, you won’t be able to miss over 500 Bavarian horsepower, multiplied by 16, all rushing into turn 1. Season 5 in the BMW Z4 GT3’s is not one you’re going to want to miss! Until next time…
