Well guys, Season 14 is due to start after the school holidays so our dates looks something like:

    Track list (event date)
    Meet and Greet: 23/7

    Round 1: Suzuka Circuit 2014 - TBA laps x 2 races - 30/7
    Round 2: Daytona Road - TBA laps x 2 races - 6/8
    Round 3: Nurburgring GP/F - TBA laps x 2 races - 13/8
    Round 4: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps - TBA laps x 2 races - 20/8
    Round 5: Silverstone GP - TBA laps x 2 races - 27/8
    Fathers Day Bye 3/9
    Round 6: Autodromo Nazionale Monza - TBA laps x 2 races - 10/9
    Round 7: Fuji Speedway - TBA laps x 2 races - 17/9

Our grid size has been in steady decline on this aging platform and so it might be time to change our formula to close up the grid somewhat.

My suggestion is to run a GT300 no tune series with multiple cars. (a series I had run in before Raceonoz and it went very well with only 1 room/division)

The cars run before were (in order of slow to fast):
    Lexus GT300
    RX-7 GT300
    BRZ GT300
    Impreza GT300

Different divisions would run different cars. A possible example could be:
    Div 1a - Lexus GT300
    Div 1b - RX-7 GT300
    Div 2 - BRZ GT300
    Div 2b - Impreza GT300
(a driver in any division could choose the car listed for their division, or higher up if they want more of a challenge or prefer a different car. ie div 2 driver might prefer the RX-7/Lexus instead of the BRZ)

Another option that could be tested is the Garaiya GT300

If anyone would like to test the 5 premium GT300's, just run some laps in each at the same circuit and post the times to see how much they differ.

Another thing that could be done, is all in the same car, but harder compounds for the faster divisions.

Feel free to post other suggestions.

Maybe we should see how many plan on doing S14, you may have some of the faster guys pulling out if they feel they are disadvantaged by having a slower car.

this will of course depend on how many want to drive.

If we have enough for 2 divisions, we will run the same style we normally do.

If we only have enough for 1 division, then it might be worth it to change it up some

I'll put my hand up as an entrant either way. This may be the last one for GT6.

How about 7 sprint rounds to make it more interesting.

Hat can you drop the car specs with an oil change in the OP?
I'm sure the RX-7 is faster as the Imprezza as brick aero so the RX-7 has a huge top speed advantage. Maybe this isn't the case without tuning, however I've always found the RX-7's tiny frontal area to give it top end advantage if the straights are long enough.

ooooooo so no worrying about the difference in tyre wear and fuel burn. Just 14 fast races, half with reverse grid!!

Could be fun. What about a season with GT3 cars since no one really races those?

Did you not use the Imprezza in Season 7 before that though?

Correct. That's why only the Garaiya appeals to me. With substantial tire wear.

The Garaiya already has substantial tyre wear, you don't want any more lol.

I'll probably get shot down for this one again, but I'm gonna vote for the Cobra Daytona coupe again.

I like the idea of GT300's aswell as the handicapping.

Lap times as tested at 500pp with RH tyres, no rigidity improvement and no oil change (base pp in brackets):
    RE Amemiya RX7 '06 (504) - 1:22.819
    Autobacs Garaiya '08 (507) - 1:23.780
    BRZ GT300 '12 (510) - 1:23.782
    Impreza GT300 '08 (507) - 1:23.981
    IS350 GT300 '08 (505) - 1:24.074

    Some other suggestions:
    • Go rallying with the evo-wrx base models.
    • Nascars on road courses. (no paint and numbers)
    • VW GTI Roadster VGT (no numbers)

    thank you for that

however, my suggestion was not to run the cars at the same pp but at their stock pp (with oil) and no tune
