OK, so cars we were looking at this season were the open wheelers

Has been discussed ALOT, and TBH the last 2 seasons have been the closest and best racing i can remember in cars that had a lot of reservations around them.....Turned out great.

So at this stage we have the following cars being discussed....

    Formula C
    [IMG]

    Formula B
    [IMG]

Of the few quick races we did the other night i enjoyed the Formula B the most.....was fast but was still pretty easy to control with heaps of grip and kers as well for something a little different.

    - We found in the Lotus 78, the guys who ran clutch had a HUGE advantage......and it was a bit of a handful.
    - Formula c was pretty good, nice and comfy to drive, prhaps a bit stale
    - Gulf felt a bit slow to me, but im sure would give some good close racing......

That FB is one of the best cars in the game IMO. handles great, is fast enough. still takes some skill to get right, but is mega rewarding when you do. it gets my vote.

loved how it grips up on the fast long corners .... we only did a few laps at dubai, but turn 3 and 4 was epic through there.

Yep, totally agree on this. Heaps of fun to drive, challenging enough to not be boring, KERS brings another dimension that we haven't had so far. This gets my top vote too.

yeah the long sweeper at RA is awesome in it aswell. Watkins Glen was awesome. I did a ring run a few times too, OMG Epic (not saying we should use it as a track for the season, but do yourself a favour and have a run there in it.)

Yeah KERS makes it a bit more interesting, bit of extra kick down the straights could mean plenty of passing opportunities.

Need to make tyre wear a big thing the few races where people had to take some risk with softs etc made for even better racing and with everyone putting it out there and helping others I don't think anyone was disadvantaged by it.
Different strats makes for good racing

@dj2ca and I did quite a few laps on different tracks last night and found the rear tyres heated up pretty quick but didn't degrade as much as we thought and still had plenty of grip.

As interesting as the '78 would be to watch, I'd have to say the Formula B is probably the best choice for good grip with room for close racing and rewarding a little extra player skill. Plus the added strategy of KERS sounds awesome. Fun fact, the Formula B was the first car available in the game (with Watkins Glen) when WMD first opened up in 2011 (video.

Unfortunately I still don't think I can make it - sorry to get your hopes up @stucar17

I took the FB around Monaco last night. It's obviously a very tricky circuit but it's very rewarding and can be quite fun. I'd love to see it as a league track.

Yep it's the F1 layout. It's listed as Azure circuit instead of Monaco because of licensing reasons though.

Have a go. It's pretty authentic from what I can tell, I don't know even nook and cranny but it seems well done.
