hahaha ..... pussy ! Yep, decided we would get it out of the way for something different.....irony is, last 2 seasons we have run cars that people hated or didnt think would work, and we have 2 of the best seasons i can ever remember....
I'm loving the chance to have a season in an open wheeler on pCARS, any of the cars we tried on Sunday night would be fine with me. The Lotus obviously provided the most challenge, particularly requiring throttle control around fast bends and also keeping the front tires cool. The Formula C, whilst much easier to drive, was still quick (7+ seconds quicker than the V8 at Dubai) and could certainly provide some good racing. Once everyone figures it out, I would expect lap times to be pretty close through the field. The Formula B was a good all rounder, was an absolute hoot to drive around Dubai, but also a bit more challenging with the bumps and tight corners at Nurb GP. Didn't have any tire temp issues. Certainly easier all round than the Lotus, but I would expect some guys to have an advantage through being able to operate closer to it's limits more consistently.
I took the Formula B for a spin around a few circuits last night; Laguna Seca, Sakitto National, and Brands Hatch were all heaps of fun in it. Sakitto Sprint was also fun but the second half of the circuit was quite challenging. I'll be doing some more open-wheeler testing tonight if anyone wants to join in.
Shouldn't forget to mention that KERS adds another element in favour of the FB. Tracks that allow us to make use of that at multiple places would be ideal. Zhuhai comes to mind, has a few places where you could use it to get a run on someone. It would also have to be a fun car to attack Spa in with at least 4 places that you could hit the KERS.
