Yeah that BMW was a pretty good car to drive huh. I'm starting to think I should make a little series filled with lively cars like the 240, the Vulcan, and the Group 5 (or is it A?) Porsche.
HI All, thanks for the feedback and suggestions in the 4 previous pages ! Am obviously back now and keen to get my teeth into it..... Got on track last night and ran a few races with the usual suspects.....Have to say i was pleasantly surprised with how it all felt...There was definitely a different feel to the cars, and like anything new, it will take a little time to get my head around all it has to offer.....Wasn't real happy with the feel of the FFB, tried only a couple of settings and couldn't really feel much of a difference, so that will be a work in progress Its expected there will be a rather large patch released in the very near future, so hopefully that will sort out a few of the issues that are noticeable..... Tried the following cars last night and all felt pretty good, on tracks i hadnt run before so my impressions may be a little off (if anyone can add in what else we used would be good, am drugged up with my back ATM!) - BMW TC of some sort, felt good.... - Lambo GT of some sort ! - felt good - Sierra TC, felt great, the boost came on much stronger than PC1, and was a little more of a handful.... Some other things on the side..... New tracks were great.....as always in the right car would give some great racing.... Love the "stay in the pit exit line" option... Love the pit lane control option Hate that keyboards arent compatible yet....am sure will come soon.... Some things we will need to have sorted, or work around I got stuck in the pit bay last night when another car didnt leave the pit bay.....could be an issue in a league race Struggled to see how the fuel worked, will have a look at that tonight.....need to make sure we dont have guys getting glitched as we have in the past.. Didnt take any notice of tyre wear, will have a look tonight Didnt try the 'on the fly' pit options.... Am planning on getting on again tonight, for a session to see if i can get my head around things.....Bottom line, seemed like a HEAP of cars we could use based on the few i used last night (even with a fuzzy head)...may be a week later starting though so we get things right for our first season.....I really cant see any need for another PCARS 1 season.....
Any of the GT3s or GTEs will make a nice safe choice for season 1 that will allow everyone to get on top of the game and allow stu to focus on other finer details and testing the new options we have
"the american' posted this today re pit stops.....havent looked at them yet so hopefully someone makes sense of it "Guys, setup a few Pit Strategies before the race and name them "Slicks + fuel" or "Rain + fuel" or "Slicks only" or "Rain only" and edit/save the strategies with appropriate tire compound and some fuel. Then all you need to do in the ICM is select the appropriate strategy out on the track (maybe adjust the fuel level). The pit strategies work across all cars, they are "global" unlike the vehicle setups (yes I know, there's a save/loading bug with vehicle setups. We're on it.)"
Well, after many, many sessions under my belt i've decided that my fav car atm is the Renault RS.01 It sounds & looks great, handles fantastic, has enough speed not to become boring, but best of all I believe it will offer some great close racing in any Div. And I agree with @dj2ca that the track in Portugal Algarve should definitely be included in season 1. Its a new track with straights, sweeping corners, hairpins and plenty of level changes - Awesome fun.
I assume you're talking about the GT3 version of the R.S. 01 @Bounty05? Have you driven the original version? It's even more potent, one hell of a car. I really wanted us to use it on the original Pcars but it was a DLC car so we couldn't.
