Since GTS was released is been getting a very annoying and inconvenient issue with my T300RS, when I go into a corner too hard it will activate the options menu, this obviously makes it very hard to race. It was suggested in another thread to tighten the screws on the back of the wheel which I have done but it still persists, reducing FFB strength (was set to 6) helped until yesterday when it happened twice in two laps at Bathurst, I've now also reduced FFB intensity and it also seemed to help but I like strong FFB so it isn't the ideal remedy. My next step is to buy a new wheel but I'm wondering if there are any other suggestions first.

Mine also did this from new as well as both my parents, if still under warranty I’d try and send it back. I am now using a t500 with t300 rim without a single problem. I now have a $400 paper weight in the cupboard

Not still under warranty unfortunately, so it was the base and not the wheel? That sucks.

If not still under warranty I would take it apart and look for a loose connection or bare/broken wire. If you can identify that as cause should be an easy fix.

Yeah nothing wrong with the rim, unfortunate because the wheel is amazing when it’s fully functional

Well there is nothing obvious in the base.

Make sure you do the collar up as tight as you can is all I can suggest.

I must have tightened something up when I put the unit back together as it appears the issue has gone for now.

I had the same issue including on PCars and on pCars2 it would have a phantom D-Up signal On a reasonably new wheel, turned out there was a firmware update. After that no issues at all.

I ended up buying a new wheel (TM Sparco R383) and haven't had an issue since.

Which I’m guessing you did the firmware update like the notes say?

I did, 4 times since it took that many times to stick.

Really - that’s painful. But the end result was the right one.

It was, and the new wheel is excellent.
