I found it competitive if I downgraded or left the car stock, wasn't that hard but I didn't walk away within the first few corners. But yes, a bit too easy otherwise
I did the 30 laps of suzuka yesterday. The tyre strategies made it pretty interesting. It didn't seem like any of the AI were on the same plan. I had some big offs which made it a battle for the first 3/4 of the race.

I agree that it is best to use a lower specced car ie in a n500 race use a n200 or n300 to make it interesting, provide a challenge to us and make it less boring. Plus you can get some large rewards for using a lower specced car. I was getting 40% bonuses for the Clubman Cup And yes the AI are horrendous. At least we race with the intent (most of us at least) of not hitting each other.
It is possible to beat even N1000 cars using a KTM X-Bow, the % bonuses are insane too, over 4000 XP.
Christmas arrived early for me. Won a Sport Mode daily race at Suzuka from 10th on the grid. Channeled my inner Jenson Button.
Thanks mate. I was really surprised with the result considering I did only two laps prior to the race and had never driven the RCZ Gr. 3 before. Still stuck at Driver Rating B, though.
INFORMATION Regarding Server Connection Issues Currently PD are experiencing an unstable connection from the Gran Turismo Sport servers to the PlayStation Network servers. Because of this, an error message is displayed notifying that the game cannot connect to the network. For the time being, we have found that in some cases it is still possible to bypass the issue and connect to the server by ignoring the connection error messages and going to the top screen, then trying to manually "Reconnect to the Network" a few times. Please wait while PD investigate the cause of this issue together with the PlayStation Network. PD apologise for any inconvenience caused to their users.
