I’m struggling to get to get out of an A safety rating...keep getting punted, my driver rating is coming along nicely though with a few wins and podiums. I’m in a pretty sweet spot now though, cause I’m B and A I get paired with an lot of C and S as well as D and S’s. So it’s quite a decent point to be atm
Well I got a few podiums tonight for the first time and on a couple of them I had to fight back 3 or 4 places after mistakes including one race full of D/S drivers and one A driver... I reckon that was risky's easiest win. I also moved from halfway through D to halfway through C.
Yeah winning by 40 seconds, lapping 2 cars and having only one person finish the race before the time ran out was pretty easy
Gran Turismo Sport - Playstation 4 TCP: 80,443,1935,3478-3480 UDP: 3478-3479 It shouldn't need it though emmo.
The DMZ puts your machine outside of your firewall so every port is open, not ideal for a pc but reasonably safe for PS4's. I put mine there because even with it giving highest priority in my router I was still getting the lowest connection and it did fix the issue but I've never had to forward ports for connection issues, are you having connection issues?
@emmo46 give the ps4 a fixed ip on the router and then on the router there should be a setting for DMZ and you put in the ip address of the ps4 for that
It is also true that if your router supports UPnP and it is enabled, the game will dynamically request port forwarding when you run it (and also remove the setting when you stop playing). If your modem has this you should see UPnP options in the admin page, and it will usually show any active port forwarding configurations that are enabled. Example from my Netgear, the last 2 entries are for Skype on my tablet. When a game is loaded on the PS4, I see the settings for the game appear in the list.
Not at the moment, I had a Netgear 84 which occasionally disconnected or had sight problems. Even with experienced guidance from a former ROOZ member I was never able set up the port forwarding on it. I have now upgraded my net connection, it has gone from 5 25 to 35 90. I also bought a Netgear nighthawk X6 AC3200 tri band router. It seems much better than the old connection but port forwarding should make it even better.
There are some odd people in this world. I was in church the other day and saw a bloke lighting his cigarette off a candle. I was so shocked I dropped my beer.
You have the updated version of my router so you shouldn't need to worry about port forwarding mate, the older ones were a lot worse. @NAACS, since we are discussing port forwarding for GTS it's technically not off topic
