Can someone please help me... I purchased a new G29 last thursday night... Didnt really have a chance to get on until Saturday morning.... First thing i thought i would try was a couple of the campaign full lap challenges where i achieved gold easily... The Nurburbring GP lap i did a 1'59'5xx first time around in the Merc with my T300. with the G29 all i could manage after a dozen laps was 2'01'2xx. Same thing in the GTS raceonoz qually lap... i was 1.6 secs from the time i submitted... If someone could guide me through any setting it would be appreciated

As far as I know there are no adjustments to the settings on the wheel. Are you getting full throttle, you can tell by the little throttle graph in the bumper view.

I think @pat65 adjusted the FFB settings and improved it.

I found an interesting post on GTPlanet re DR calculation...does anybody know anything further?
I'm a bit of a numbers person (so have been an accountant since school) and take great interest in this stuff.

    https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-cars-feedback-requests-updates.362085/page-7

I've managed to crack the DR calc code :D

It isn't using quite the Elo equations, instead it uses a simpler linear equation similar to Sonos. I'm not sure how we should name it - it is still somewhat Elo-based, and that's probably accurate enough for most purposes.

For each pair of players it calculates the point gain for the winner of the pair as (DRloser - DRwinner) / 500 + 80, rounded down to the nearest integer. The loser of the pair will lose the same number of points. The final DR change for a player is the sum of their gains/losses against each other player.

It's possible that there's a limit (of 40000?) placed on the DR difference (DRloser - DRwinner) to ensure that the winner of the pair doesn't lose points, but I haven't seen an example of such a big difference yet.

The spreadsheet doesn't yet attempt to include any of the boosts/drops when changing DR level, any limiting within the range 1 .. 75000, or any other special cases like that. It does include handling DNF vs DNF scoring as 0 though.

an ELO system takes points off one person and gives them to another - the DR system works like this, with modifications. Wiki says the chess world uses it for their world rankings.

I have heard people suggest qualifying/ finishing better than you qualified/ various overtaking maneuvours all influencing DR - this claims to rule those things out, meaning relative DR score is the only influencing factor.

Having said that, he mentions a 2000 point boost for going up a level and other limits as well.

Good thing Gran Turismo isn’t made by Activison or EA, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had some sort of pay to level up nonsense that only special idiots buy (when the game is fresh). Microtransactions is what is killing gaming today.

    3. Presenting the world famous high-speed circuit and new layouts.

    • Monza Circuit
On the outskirts of Milan in northern Italy is one of the most famous race courses in the world. Tucked away in the beautiful green National Monza Park, the Monza Circuit, completed in 1922, is the world's third oldest race track after Brooklands and Indianapolis. It once featured a high-speed banked oval section, but today it consists of chicanes and consecutive corners that are connected by a long straight. There are two configurations, one with the chicanes and one without, that test the skills and nerves of everyone who drives the track.

    • "Autodrome Lago Maggiore - Center" Layout (Reverse: "Center II" Layout)
This is a short version of the course that uses the front straight of the Lago Maggiore Circuit. Although its complete length is quite short at 1.7km, it does include a high-speed section that will test your nerves. A reverse layout is also included.

    • "Autodrome Lago Maggiore - East" Layout (Reverse: "East II" Layout)
This is a short version of the course that connects the front straight of Lago Maggiore to the east side of the track. The 3.6km layout includes a challenging S-curve section that will test your skills. A reverse layout is also included.

    • "Autodrome Lago Maggiore - West" Layout (Reverse: "West II" Layout)
This is a short version of the course that connects the front straight of Lago Maggiore to the west side of the track. The 4.1km high-speed layout features a steep uphil and downhill section at the end of the straight. A reverse layout is also included.

There will be other various features, improvements and fixes implemented in this update.

PD would like you to enjoy the continuing evolution of Gran Turismo Sport.

I wonder if @BMWF30328 has been waiting for the inclusion of Monza to get the game.

Lesmo 2: now in 4K and HDR, you can even see individual grains of sand being flung off your tires as you plow into its sand trap!
