If the LMP option gets up we will have a vote for which one next week and start to lock down tracks. Either of the other 2 options will have a theme to them. The V8's obviously will lend themselves to Oz and NZ tracks, assuming they have enough pitboxes, so put up your favourites and include links. As for the 'vette, I think a tour of America is definitely doable, so let us know what you like there as well.
Has anyone tested how close the V8's are for lap times? I remember the Holden being a good bit faster for some reason. LMP season would be cool with battery management. For me its the Corvette C7R GTE and the tour of America. Virginia International Raceway Riverside International Raceway Watkins Glen International Road Atlanta 2017 Sebring International Raceway Road America Laguna Seca
Should get someone like this to test the V8's limits. I put some of my servers up the other day with v8's at Road Atlanta and a WEC server also with Toyota and Audi lmp1 mixed with gte and gt2 cars if anyone wants to test them on the same tracl as this weeks fun run.
This is a very hard choice. V8SC...the noise, tricky to drive, and having multiple cars would be cool. Corvette...nice noise too, easier to drive, and the American tracks are really fun. LMP's....sounds pretty bland, really nice to drive, and playing around with the battery would be interesting. Tough one but think I'll go with the yank tank too. 2nd would of been V8SC. @marty chose some cars for our last fun run race around Nords and they were all very close on pace against this Corvette.
I love the V8's but dont have enough time to play with setups. Please please pick Kyalami 1967 track. It is so good.
Is there a new version of this or is it the GPL version still hanging on. Would be great to have an f1 67 season some time, lotus 49 and the ferrari are pretty even and great fun to drive. I wonder if a fixed setup season would ever get interest? Youd want it in a fairly basic car so maybe only the c7 from the current vote.
yeah i love the fixed setup seasons, but others prefer to play with tuning. f1 67 sounds like alot of fun.
Fixed setup would be interesting. I am not good at setups and rely on others to get a nice setup that I usually change slightly to suit my driving style. It's usually a bit more aero, brake bias and TC. I am still learning to drive smooth, getting used to throttle control.
Well that's a close poll. Looks almost split 50/50 between the Vette and the V8SCs. V8SC are only 1 vote ahead. Does this need a recount?
Lol. Well I voted for the LMP and if we're allocating preference votes mine ain't going to the Corvette
Maybe Vette can be next season. Looks like we are running the Veights! OK, I don't want to deny anyone the chance to pick a car so I will get the team chats started tonight and we'll let you guys discuss your prejudices off the main forum?!?! Will get some tracks sorted in the next day or so, but we'll start on a Kunos and work towards Bathurst. Any other ideas?
Woohoo! Eastern Creek and Barbagallo are good local mod tracks, do we want Adelaide? The walls always scare me more than Bathurst... Also Symmons Plains Raceway isn't a bad mod either... Marty currently has Barcelona up and that seems like a fun wide track...
