Tracks i like with this car (ie tracks that have a high chance being selected) tsukuba tokyo east inner alsace reverse kyoto miyabi maggiore center dragon trail gardens big willow dragon trail seaside reverse blue moon infield B tracks i don't like with this car (ie tracks that have a low chance being selected) suzuka east interlagos streets of willow dragon trail seaside alsace monza brands hatch do you agree? if not... change my mind...
Interlagos should be up for selection. 100%! It is such a flowing track and the car would promote quite good racing.
I disagree with: Maggiore Center: Yet another overly short and simplistic layout. Maggiore East has a much better balance between length and technical sections. And it doesn’t have that crazily banked hairpin. Dragon Trail: We used this location twice last season. I’d rather we take a break from the place. Blue Moon: The lesser of the two infield layouts, it would feel pretty bland to drive on it over a standard race distance IMO. Interlagos: See @xlxy90’s reply above. Brands Hatch: Always a tricky track to extract the best out of the car, but the car’s small size and relatively low performance will make for a rewarding race for those who get it right.
Ok so more testing done and here is how it's going to be in the foreseeable future: season 4 tracks tsukuba tokyo east inner enduro (long straight, good for a stretch) maggiore east blue moon infield B sprint big willow alsace reverse others not selected: northern isle - yuck dragon trail - twice last season, time for a break kyoto miyabi - only works as sprint round and no real chance for overtaking brands hatch - really not fun in this car streets and horse willow - cone trouble and its more of a pathway than a track bb raceway - not suited suzuka east - boring suzuka full - group c next season monza - group c next season bathurst - not again le mans - group c next season as for the 7th track.... blue moon speedway round anyone?? otherwise, interlagos or nur gp could be possibilities but might prefer to run them for group c next season and always could be a new track coming do you agree? if not, change my mind (again)
I'm not opposed to an oval round. Maybe even prefer it over the infield layout. Out of Nürburgring and Interlagos, I'd pick the latter.
I 2nd those tracks. Plus spa when the update arrives. Keen on a blue moon speedway but if we have that ditch the infield for sprint and run miyabi.
Still cant get my head around why people like any of the Tokyo layouts. in my best Pauline Hanson voice..... "Please explain???"
I have previously, with very evenly matched opponents and found it pretty much impossible to pass without running someone (or them running me) into the wall. Not really looking forward to either coming last, picking up the scraps after everyone else takes each other out, or having to defend myself in a post race protest, that's all. Feels a bit like Monaco to me - where the race is usually won during Qually.
I suspect there will be at least one new track and maybe we can hold the 7th round track until we see what it is in about three weeks time.
After testing the SF-R on this track, I guess it could actually be Ok as an enduro round. So yes, I have got over myself
A few of us did some testing tonight and found the new track ..Circuit de Sainte-Croix - B really fun and the tack suits this car give it a try and see what you think......
@Hatfield there seems to be some love for the B version of the new track, perhaps we could use that for race 7.
maybe we can have some runs after tittsup tonight. or even run a tittsup round at 4 of the 6 versions
talking about the new track, the three versions use unique sections from the start/finish line to the bridge and also unique sections from the bridge back to the start/finish. That means there is potential for 18 version including the II versions. Just matching the first part of the B version with the second part of the A tarck will wiild a shorter version and a mix of the first part of A with the last part of C will give a longer track than those offered at the moment.
