Gauging interest in a kart day in the Newcastle / Central Coast area. I mentioned it in the shoutbox and there was some interest so thought maybe we should get a proper discussion going. I'll start by saying that there are some really good tracks in Newcastle
Interested The one at west Gosford isn't good enough for what we need. The big track at Cameron park hire through the week
Yes Cameron Park is what I was thinking. Where are you from Anthony? Here's Cameron Park track https://www.gokartsgo.com.au/cameron-park
looked at their corporate events https://www.gokartsgo.com.au/corporate-race-events-cameron-park In the past, we have done race style events in western sydney. looking at the newcastle prices, the Macau GP is the cheapest racing one... $220pp
also note this: Opening Hours Due to this track being used as a proper Go Kart Racing track which is owned by Newcastle Kart Racing Club, the track is not available to us on weekends and some other particular dates throughout the year. However apart from these selected times the track is available most Monday to Fridays 9am-4:30pm (last session starts at 3pm) for arrive and drive and private practice. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL. Please Note, we are only able to operate our Cameron Park track in fine weather. In the event of bad weather we do have to shut the track and postpone your booking.
since this shows me other guys in the central coast, would anyone be interested in teaming up locally for any of the events in this gt sport endurance series? http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/series-2019-raceonoz-world-endurance-tour-wet.3440/ I am in Green Point
just 1 other. the longest events are 3 hrs so we just do stints. I did one with keeden, but he is near newcastle so it is an hour away. That isn't much, but after a 3hr race late at night, and kids waking me up the next morning, it would be easier if someone was closer. So with you in kariong, if you are interested it is probably a 20min drive. Even if you haven't played the game before, you just get put into a lower handicap to even it out. Should I sign us up?
