Will post all driver briefings in here for each round, highlighting track limits, pit entry and exit requirements and any changes to regulations if we need to change.

Just a couple of points after last few seasons.
    - Our main goal is to provide CLEAN RACING. Has and always will, be our 'mission'.
    - Had a few drivers say that they dont want to increase our work load with protests. The stewards group is there to rule on incidents that may or may not require a penalty.
    - If someone drives like a plumb and needs to be penalised, then make a protest.
    - Frivolous protests are a pain in the arse, but genuine incidents and verdicts are both a learning process for drivers involved, and also a deterrent to other drivers who might feel they can get away with driving / racing rough and pushing our league rules.
    - PLEASE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND OUR TRACK LIMIT AND REDRESS RULES.
    - IF YOU DONT KNOW, OR ARE UNSURE, PLEASE ASK US !

Ok everyone..... Hope we all have a great season..... you all know the drill.....
NO changes to rules this season.... Track limits are the same, and we will be enforcing the same contact rules as we have run for many seasons.... All outlined below.... Everyone should know the rules so there are no excuses !

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    -
RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on on those ripple strips or lines at all times.
    - Rubbins racing as they say, however we wont tolerate 'rough' driving. See below !
    -
Car resets : You are allowed to reset your car, but you must do it when safe to do so. If you reset in the path of oncoming traffic, you will be penalised. Remember it will reset you to the middle of track, so oncoming cars cannot avoid you. Its tough watch cars drive past, but dont ruin someones night.

    - Room Disconnects : If you disconnect from the qual room, you may get back in OR the room captain / host may agree to restart the room if you cant get back in. THIS SEASON, IF YOU DISCONNECT, AND CANT GET BACK IN FOR QUAL, YOU MUST START REAR OF GRID.

ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:45 EDST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.
    QUALIFYING : 8:10 EDST
RACE START TIME : 8:20 EDST

ROOM RESTARTS : Sometimes there are issues with the room and a new room may need to be started.
    - If a driver is DSC from Qual, they may get back into the qual room with no issue to set a time.
    - If they CANT get back in before race start, then the room host will restart the RACE room (no qual) and that driver MUST start from REAR OF GRID.
    - Will be a ROLLING START with formation lap based on Qual results from qual session from drivers who finished the qual session.
    - Fuel will have to be turned OFF
    - Formation lap is from RACE START, and cars will form up before TURN 1. When formed, cars will stay single file till last corner, where lead car will slow to 80KLMS, and hold the field till they go. (effectively safety car). Once the lead car accelerates , all other drivers can assume that the race has started.
    - No passing before start / finish line.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Round 1 is generally the most common where we see contact issues, particularly if we have drivers who haven't done a lot of practice. If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. Giving room on both sides till you get through the turn 1, 2 and 3,4 complex will see everyone get through without their night being ruined. Take extra effort to not ruin someones night in the first race of the season ;)

TRACK LIMITS : Track limits will remain as they always have, you must have 2 wheels on OR inside the ripple strips at all times. Make a mistake or 2 and thats ok, but making CLEAR advantage from cutting the track will see you penalised. If you do it consistently, you may even be DSQ from the race.
Is a few places here where you need to remain inside track limits.
    - The obvious one here at Spa is through Eau Rouge.... People cutting here continually will be penalised.
    - Turn 12 (pouhon) dont run to the right of the ripple strip
    - EXIT of 16.... on the run up the back straight
    - EXIT of Blanchimont, dont run to the right of ripple strip

We all know the rules, so drivers are asked to watch for drivers who may be gaining advantage.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
Main spots are Turn 1 and the back straight hairpin, Turn 5.

COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES. up to you what compound you take, you WONT NEED FUEL !
If you havent done pit stops before :
    - Make sure you know where the pit entry line is. you must be at 60KLM at the line or you get penalised.
    - Make sure you have you pit controller activated. this is the guy with a big red board only you can see in YOUR pitbay
    - You can adjust the following
    - Brake bias (on the fly with mapped buttons)
    - ABS
    - Traction Control
    - Tire pressures for tyres IF you change them at your stop.

CAR SET UP : There are 2 options for car sets up that people can make.
'LOOSE' or 'STABLE'. It is up to you what setting you use, and it may vary based on the track being used. I would recommend trying both to see what gives the best lap times.
    - In this car, there does seem to be a big difference in the settings.... The stable settings seems to give longer gera ratios and more understeer. Test for yourself !

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : We will be running with Pit penalties ON, so will need to make an attempt to enter and exit using the pit lane lines. We have seen people hit with warnings in game, so be aware of staying in the lane. DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT 60KLMS AT THE PIT ENTRY LINE OR YOU WILL GET DSQ FROM THE RACE IF YOU GO IN TOO HOT.
    - IF SOMEONE IS CAUGHT MISSING THE LANE, THEN GOING INTO THE PITS AND GAINING AN ADVANTAGE YOU WILL BE PENALISED.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : The stewards group will again consist of Myself, Ad2mny and Gary... if you feel the need to protest, you need to make us aware by PM before midnight Monday following the race. You will also need to have Video evidence of your protest, or ask the room host to have a look on their replay. You may appeal any stewards decision, and the final decision will be made by Koastr. If there is an issue in the race
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE ROOM OR ON THE FORUM.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved !

Any question re the above just shoot... We assume that everyone reads this, so no excuses for not knowing the rules and procedures.

If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. The track is low on grip on the outside of all the turns here at Monza, and the edge comes very quickly. Take extra effort to not ruin someones night ;)

There is really only one area that an unfair advantage can be gained, and that is the left hander onto the final back straight. If you run wide and bounce off the wall you can maintain a higher speed than making the turn correctly. if you make a pass in this manner you will be penalised.
We all know the rules, so drivers are asked to watch for drivers who may be gaining advantage.

Just confirming, is it D.Park GP (with the extra bit) or D.Park National (with only 9 turns)?

Good job last week everyone.... Had only 1 protest and from all reports some great racing.
This week sees the Tyre wear go back to 'accelerated'.

Once the lead car accelerates , all other drivers can assume that the race has started.
    - No passing before start / finish line.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Ok, so the main issue this week will be that the grid is very compacted and congested, 3 wide, and very close to each other. Take care not to take out half the field ! Once you get through turn 1, and 2, you should be able to have the grid shake out and things will be much easier..... Be aware of those around you, and be aware of drivers braking earlier than normal on the first lap.

    - The only spot to really cut and make gains, is through the chicane at the end of the lap.
    - Remember wheels on curbs is track limits.

    - This is a tricky pit entry, so make sure you do a few pit stops so you know where it is, and how to approach it !

    ROUND 5 (16th June) - Imola - DRY TO WET RACE - 25 LAPS
    - Race Date - 30/7/19
    - Qual Time - 2pm
    - Race Time - 3pm
    - Weather Slots - QUAL : Med Cloud - RACE : Light Cloud / Med Cloud / Heavy Cloud / Light Rain
    - Time progression - REAL
    - Compulsory pit stop - YES
    - Fuel : Real
    - TYRE WEAR : ACCELERATED
    - Weather progression : Sync to race
    [IMG]

Good job last week everyone.... Had only 1 protest and from all reports some great racing.
    - The issue this week will be how long you can get the softs to last, before the rain comes in the last weather slot
    - If you need to pit for softs before the rain, you will need to then change to the wet tyre in your second stop.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Ok, this track has traditionally given a bit of an issue through turns 1,2,3,4 and 5 on the first lap. Generally where drivers dont give room, amd take people out. use your heads here lads ;)

    - EXIT of T8, you must not continually run wide to the right of ripple strip
    - EXIT of 10, must not continually run wide to the left of the ripple strip
    - EXIT of 12 (exit of final chicane) you must stay on the green syn grass run off. This is the same as we have always run at this track, so you CAN run wider than the ripple strip.
    - Remember wheels on curbs is track limits - exception T12 this round.

COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES. up to you what compound you take, you WONT NEED FUEL !
    - The pit lane has a short entry before the entry line..... Make sure you slow accordingly so you dont get pinged

The stable settings seems to give longer gera ratios and more under-steer. Test for yourself !

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : We will be running with Pit penalties ON, so will need to make an attempt to enter and exit using the pit lane lines. We have seen people hit with warnings in game, so be aware of staying in the lane.
    - DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT 60KLMS AT THE PIT ENTRY LINE OR YOU WILL GET DSQ FROM THE RACE IF YOU GO IN TOO HOT.
    - IF SOMEONE IS CAUGHT MISSING THE LANE, THEN GOING INTO THE PITS AND GAINING AN ADVANTAGE YOU WILL BE PENALISED.
    - This is a tricky pit entry, so make sure you do a few pit stops so you know where it is, and how to approach it !

    ROUND 6 (23rd June) - Brand Hatch GP - 30 Laps

OK All, been a bit of a disjointed season, but with 2 rounds to go hopefully we can get full grids for the final races.
Off to Brands Hatch this week, a tough track, with not a lot of margin for error....

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    -
RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on on those ripple strips or lines at all times.

    - If a driver is DSC from Qual, they may get back into the qual room with no issue to set a time.
    - If they CANT get back in before race start, then the room host will restart the RACE room (no qual) and that driver MUST start from REAR OF GRID.

Once the lead car accelerates , all other drivers can assume that the race has started.
    - No passing before start / finish line.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Ok, biggest issue here will be the run through T1, and cars getting pushed to the sand on the outside of the turn. Please give each other room on the run up to Druids.

    - Isnt really anywhere here to cut track, most of the outside curbs are lined with sand, so if do run wide its likely you will be asking for a sand bucket to make sand castles.....
    - All wheels must remain on or inside ripple strips or lines that define track limits.

    - This is a tricky pit entry, so make sure you do a few pit stops so you know where it is, and how to approach it !

PIT EXIT : This is very tight so please read below re returning to the track from pit lane.....
    - Cars coming out from pit lane must stay in the lane UNTIL the solid white line that crosses the whole track. This is standard ROOZ rules anyway, cars should exit
    - If there is a car on a race lap coming through, the car EXITING the pits must stay right.
    - Cars that are on a RACE LAP (not exiting pit lane) must also be aware of cars exiting the pits
    - A car that is on a race lap DOES NOT have right of way IF the car exiting the pits is past the pit EXIT line, and is turning into turn 1, SO LONG AS they have remained to the right hand side of the track as they come up to race speed.

It is very tight here guys, so please use your heads !

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

    ROUND 7 (7th July) - ENDURO - Zolder - 58 Laps
    - Race Date - 13/8/19
    - Qual Time - 3pm
    - Race Time - 4pm
    - Weather Slots - QUAL : Med Cloud - RACE : Light Cloud / Fog / Clear / Light Cloud
    - Time progression - X15
    - Compulsory pit stop - YES
    - Fuel : Real
    - TYRE WEAR : ACCELERATED
    - Weather progression : Sync to race
    [IMG]

OK Guys and Girl..... Enduro time means the end of another season..... Thanks to everyone who has shown for every race or most rounds.... Has been a challenging car, and the tyre regs havent quite worked out as planned. :(

So, how to run the enduro, it is going to be a very tough race.....below is a very basic way of setting up a pit strat for the race, given you will need about 155L of fuel.....for those of you that dont have much time for a race run....
    - Remember this will have a 24hr cycle. HAve a drive in the dark so you know what to expect.
    - Every time i tested i started with 75.8L of fuel.... Can anyone else confirm this is the same for them ??
    - If there is anyone that wants a simple strat just let me know and i can give you the one i think i will be using..
    - If anyone has a fast strat feel free to give it to me :D
    - I also found that i get 'about' 14 laps from the soft tyre...
    - The hard tyre i found was 'about' 1.5 - 2 sec slower per lap.....
    - PLEASE NOTE ADJUSTMENT TO THE WAY THE RESET RULE IS WRITTEN. See below

See below !
    -
Car resets : The ONLY time you may reset your car is if you are on your roof, or stuck on a tyre wall or barrier where a reset is the only way to get back into the race. If you spin off track you should rejoin by driving back on track when safe to do so. You should not reset it after a simple spin or off track excursion.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Is pretty wide, and with 58 laps is no reason why anyone should be trying to win this in the first 200m. Give room, is heaps of space to sort it out before the first chicane.

    - All the chicanes are a potential cut spot....make sure you stay on the ripple strips.

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.
    - You will need to adjust your pit strat
    - You WILL need to add fuel....
    - You will need to set up what tyre you want to take....If you need help with this just ask me.
If you havent done pit stops before :
    - Make sure you know where the pit entry line is. you must be at 60KLM at the line or you get penalised.
    - Make sure you have you pit controller activated. this is the guy with a big red board only you can see in YOUR pitbay
    - You can adjust the following

    - This is a tricky pit entry, so make sure you do a few pit stops so you know where it is, and how to approach it ! there are a few concrete bollards on the way into pit lane..... make sure you dont hit them !
