the update really ups the find resources and build stuff ante. sucks starting back from scratch with the gear when i pretty much maxed it all previously but I reckon it'll soak up very many hours regardless.
A mostly enjoyable race in which my only off-track excursion happened on the last lap coming out of the second carousel. Just clipped the grass it it turned around. This was after recovering from blasting through @deedz_aus who was ghosted across the track in the fast run up to the first carousel. He deghosted just as i past through his car. A loud bang, damage to my transmission yet no loss of momentum or deviation to my path. Odd to say the least. Other than that a good early run with @Easyprey007 for the first lap before he got a stonking exit out of the last two corners onto the pit straight and affected a clean pass into turns one & two. Tried to keep up with him but his superior knowledge of the Ring saw him skip away.
This car and I do not agree. This season has been horrendous for me haha. Of course, Ill still be in attendance for the other races, but I just have to accept that ill be at the back Speaking of being at the back, welcome to div 3 for the new controller player @Noxrai lol
Thank you. It's been a hard slog, but I've finally made it to Div 3. A bigger number is better right?
Drats. Id love to race with you guys if there is room on the night. It's gonna be weird holding a controller instead of a wheel. Expect the whole gourmet of bad driving.
Preempting the call by @Matthyus, our gracious room host/captain, given this Sunday is the enduro round (plus retro, get your old skool liveries on), we usually like to start the race 30mins (half an hour) earlier - so that's qualifying at 7:50PM AEST, race start at 8:00PM AEST. If you're up for starting earlier please respond in the affirmative and we'll track via the list below. What an up and down race that was. Qualified in 5th, which I thought was pretty good considering the group. Best Qual result so far... T1 looked clean. Kudos to all for that. I didn't lose any spots, until the in consistence bug hit me again. Had 1 minor and major off. The minor didn't lost me much time, but the major, damn that thing shot me into the air and into the barrier at 200k's. Between the carosels there is a crest you take in 5th that if you are going fast enough or are far enough right it spits you out. Yeah that one... Once back on track on L1, I was 11th from 12... Been thinking recently that perhaps my promotion to D3 was un-warranted and I wasn't ready to move up. However, over the next 5 laps, I put in a very (almost clean) drive and managed to navigate from 11th to 6th. I had just past Deedz and Col and saw that Easy had a serious margin on them (20s). I set about carving up Easy's margin and made a solid 5s into it, when the bug hit once again. The gap grew to 25s, but I continued on and continued to eat into the gap. However it seemed that either Easy was racing a sublime race or Pat had some issues post pit stop. I saw the gap to pat at about 10s, finally a target to aim for. However time ran out... Happy to have been able to make the places back to get back to my qualification position!! Also happened to hit a PB on the last lap!! 8.08!! Looking forward 'sort of' to Bathurst. Me and this track do not get along well. The MnG results speak for themselves.... Anyhow.. Let's see if I can beat the hoodoo I have here.
