Rnd 4 of the season will be next Monday December 2nd for the 3nd Enduro cup round, with a single 2hr endurance race in the same format as the real Blancpain Enduro rounds. Just a bit shorter then the real race which is 6hrs long.

This will have a 65 minute max stint time, with a mandatory stop to add fuel. Tyres are optional on the stop and fuel is limited at 25 seconds for any amount.

Time scale will be 3x as the real round is a 3hr race, session times will be as below on Monday 18th of November.
    RACE/PRACTICE SERVERS PASSWORD = "season1"
Hotlap static server password = "hotlap"
entry is also locked to only those on the season entry thread. All that started any rnd will be locked to the car they chose for the rest of the season.

Free Practice 45 minutes: 8:30pm AEDT (in game Friday 1pm)
Qualifying 10 minutes: 9:15pm AEDT (in game Saturday 11am)
Race 120 minutes: 9:30pm AEDT (in game Sunday 6pm)

A reminder for all to ensure they have set a lap in the Qualifying Server and anyone not yet entered to enter in this entry thread
Please note whatever car you start your first official season race in you will be committed to for the full season.

NEW season Entries Close strictly at 6:30pm AEDT on race night.

Any entries after this are accepted for the following round. The race server will be passworded with a locked entry list so anyone not on the entry list wont get in even with the password. To be entered in for the season you must enter in the entry thread, provide a GUID in the relevant thread and also set a qualy lap in the league qualy server prior to 6:30pm on the Monday race night.

NEW FULL FORMATION LAP MANUAL START PROCEDURE

After testing the full formation manual start procedure on Wednesdays warm up races these turned out pretty good and easily manageable, ideally everyone will join the discord channel for race nights to hear any directions regarding the race start.

The general rule will be to start single file and follow the leader, you can weave and warm your tyres up here but be aware of cars ahead and behind at all times. Do your best to avoid causing any issues for others, then the second last corner of the track start to line up double file (may change for some tracks and be in that rounds thread)

Everyone should be in formation by the time the field makes it around the last turn and cars on the main straight should maintain 80kmh until the green light is given.

Anyone going considerably early enough to gain an advantage here may be given a post race time penalty. Cars behind the leader aren't allowed to back up and then anticipate the green to get an unfair run on the cars ahead of them. Same with front row cars they arent allowed to accelerate before the lights are green.

    Race results.

The weather for this round will be Dry, after the first few rounds getting Thunderstorms in most sessions Dynamic weather will be disabled until we can get rain without it pretty much just being a thunderstorm. It was an interesting challenge and one to all get under our belts from Silverstone, but Im sure nobody wants to do that every round. :D

    Hotlap server final standings.

Maybe 1/50 rounds like that - but not 4/5 (cheers Minolin!)!!!! :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Looking forward to this - hardly ever drive this track so it will be good to have a reason to learn it a bit better.

Hope to make this one... never do well race wise but to get a race in with working kit is the important thing... got some feed back from DSD overnight so will see if that works as a permanent solution over the next few weeks...

Would be fun to really crank the track temp for this one, test the limit of the tyres over 2x 60 min stints, could force some unexpected 2 stoppers ;)

race will go into the dark, I will see if I can find temps for start of the real race and set this in the server then see what it does. The hotlap server will be set for night to be a bit different seeing the race will be finishing in the dark it will help learn the track better too.

We will set servers at some point this afternoon but will try set hotlap server to match temps expected towards the end of the race, this I assume to be fairly cool.

Looking at temp history for the circuit it seems max was 23.5 with a min 12.5 so I will experiment with temp settings to try and get them in this range or close enough.

Thanks for the races last night guys, very much fun.

I had zero pace and need to do some serious practice on this track - for some reason this is the one I have driven the least (I've probably put more time into Zandvoort!) - but I got really lucky in R1 as the Law was handing out stop & go's to the guys that were just in front of me.

Second race was a bit of a disaster. I got pinched in a three wide at T2 on lap 1 and with zero visibility either side (I really need to get those triples) did not see someone coming up on the curbs on my inside. A little nudge was enough to spin me out into Art (I think?) and both of us were basically done. I rejoined and found that I had lost 20kmH on the straight - so needed to pit. And of course as I entered I realised I had my pit strats set up to add 70L - so as I was madly trying to turn off tyres and reduce the fuel (not thinking that I could have just gone to a blank pit strategy...derp) I missed my box. I stopped and thought I'd try and revserse in but....nope...DQ!!! Quite funny but not really ideal. I have learned another lesson!

I'm tempted - but I think I'm going triples rather than ultrawide (3 x 27" @ 1080p). However I just saw the LTD edition Fanatec shifter in the black friday deals...so it is highly possible that I will accidentally buy that instead. I will probably never touch it, but at least I will have something to look at while I am in the pits.

The one thing I've never understood about VR is how do you know what buttons you're pressing? I have a button box which I need to sight because all the buttons feel the same and I can only discern them through labels.

This made me chuckle when they released it as a Black Friday special... it's exactly the same as the existing one, no special price... just a different colour shifter/knob
    [IMG]

*BUT* An amazing shifter... get AC and take the Ford Escort RS1600 for a burn around Vallelunga, now thats old school driving fun :)

95% of my buttons are on my wheel, just my starter switch and start button are on the button box, but they are off to the side...
Well my VR centre view is on the button box, but I have muscle memory to know to press this one and it's not normally needed in the heat of driving. Same with server restarts/move forward buttons...
The only one that is slightly tricky is my macro to increase psi on tires in MDF screen... I keep forgettign which one is up or down pressure buttons...
