CAR FOR SEASON 10

Alright, we WONT be putting anything to a vote, but rather a discussion about cars you would like to see tested for the upcoming season.

As we have done for the last 6 or 7 seasons, we will look at all recommendations and the mod team ( @Ad2mny , @garyw61 and myself) will make a final decision based on what car will work best for drivers of all levels. Obviously there are plenty of drivers / members who are able to help us narrow it down to a couple of cars that the vast majority will like.

From last nights testing we have the following
PORSCHE GT3

PORSCHE GT4

LMP3

BMW E30 Group A


Personally i found the GT3 Porsche and the BMW Gp A the best, both had a bit of character. The Porsche seemed to have a bit of draft as well that would help the racing.
The LMP3 was good, heaps of grip, while i thought the Porsche GT4 was a bit dull and boring....

Will be on again tonight to try out any other suggestions.

PORSCHE 936 (1977)

HONDA ACCURA GT3


We did the Porsche GT3 again as well for some people who hadnt driven and it was pretty well received.
From the cars we drove last night, the best was the SLS AMG which was a lot tamer than the newer model.

The Porsche 936 was a turbo lag disaster, good for a laugh, but after 2 rounds of the season i reckon there would be 1 driver left in each division !

HONDA GT3 was pretty good, perhaps just a shade behind the SLS.

Hope to get on tonight again for some more testing before we lock it down to 2 or 3 options.

so last night we tested the following.....
corvette


BMW M3 GT4


Mclaren 650s GT3


Accura again, Porsche GT3 again.....

Have to say the best car so far was the Corvette....
Pretty quick, rides the curbs well, had great brakes and better still, made my ears bleed !
The mclaren, honda were pretty good, but not quite as planted as the vette

Try it out if you havent already.

We went with it because it seemed to ride the bumps really well, and even in loose was a bit more predictable than the other cars in the same class. Also that noise !

Get practising, we will have the track list for the meet and greet which will be on SUNDAY THE 2nd FEB due to Australia day long weekend.
