@Crunch I'm running a Simlabs GT1 Evo. Its got a tiny bit of movement in the wheeldeck but its not noticeable when driving. They do have a different mounting option for podium wheels similar to the Fanatec podium side mounts. I haven't tried them though so I don't know how they go.
It was ~1400 all up with a seat I had to buy separately but I dunno what the conversion rate is at the moment. I've run it at 100% force a few times and it handles it better than I do.

    Hi @Crunch! I'm using the first gen Sim-lab GT1
Was looking at building my own but with the stuffing around to save some $$$ or just have it delivered and put together I went with the lazy option.
DD2 fits well... I can see the rig shake when other ppl drive it, but like Andy I don't notice it when I'm in VR racing.
If it were an issue it's pretty easy for me now to get some extra parts to shore it up if I wanted to.
Will probably look at this when I eventually get some actuators... it's next on my list but it's basically the cost of what I'm put down on my rig as it is so will have to wait a bit until I save that up.

Thank you all for your amazing feedback! You've all been very helpful.

And thanks for the link to the codes.
I've whittled my shortlist down to:
    NLR GTTrack;
    TrakRacer TR160; or
    Sim-Labs P1-X.

The GTTrack is the budget option of the shortlist so I'm gonna try a hands-on to see if it's good enough because if it is, then there's no need to spend more money. Even more enticing with a discount. I'm definitely cautious of the flex though.

As good as many are it’s hard to argue that overall the P1-X is king. If you have the budget for it I would just get that. It epitomises the do it once do it right mentality

I thought I would finally get around to sharing some photos of my setup.
Over the years (as many people have) I have stepped up with the gear that I have used or been using.
The current iteration is a TrakRacer TR160 with integrated triple monitor mount (although its only got one monitor mounted at the moment). Bolted to that is a Fanatec Podium F1 Wheel (DD1 for PS4) and the Clubsport v3 pedals with brake performance kit.

And below is a quick photo of the old rig.

Now to just get my wheel base back from repair and get back into racing.

So I thought I would just share an update for some additions to the rig. Whilst this is based on a "wind simulator" setup, it will be controlled and is purely for driver cooling while looking the part. As always, I am happy to answer any questions that anyone may have. Cheers!!

At first glance, that's a funnel to increase fluid in-take

Broke my simworx pedals again last week... was super lucky HRS had a set of these in stock from a cancelled order...
Needless to say I have no money now for the nvidia 3090
See how they go over the next few weeks as a comparison and decide which what to go when I get my Simworx back
After my last break they did modify base plate to prevent my hulk smash brake issue... so they will install that this time.

Hi mate - after breaking my V3's twice, I was looking at Simworx as a potential upgrade if they break again (and if something is going to break, it's always the brake that breaks). Very interested to hear how you go with these, and how they compare. Out of interest what keeps breaking in your Simworx pedals? I remember you have a loadcell go a while back, is it that?

was my DSD pedals that I had issues with, but after many loadcell replacements it was a little pot to fine tune load that was the issue  found that after I ordered the simworx... the simworx have been brilliant just the base wasn't very strong for my leg pressure? But after my first break they investigated it and redesigned a new base to handle that potential issue... So when they fix my simworx again they will put in the new design... I might even claim the name Simworx with Rolz hulk smash brake mod :roflmao:

haha nice! Simworx RHSB Modified GT.

Simworx is 15 minutes down the road from my house so I need to go check 'em out when the lockdown is released.
