Never used these car before and I screwed up the first chicane. This is going to be fun but stressful!

Hopefully I can fix my load cell pedal before R1 ends, as I don't fancy getting used to a pot brake again in this game. Replacement part ordered and shipped so should be good.

I tried to enter the first chicane on the first stage (like 10 seconds in) from the wrong side and punctured my front right tyre.

    stage 1
blind 5 right over crest caught me out and I slid off towards the trees. On the one hand, lucky not to hit those trees but...
    16s reset
23 down on @Slambobagan at stage end

    stage 2
    mostly clean
    27 down

    stage 3
13s reset for a corner cut at the square left/right that I wasn't even trying to do I just couldn't see it properly and carried too much speed
    46 down

    stage 4
clean run and the car felt really good as a result only lost 1-2 secs
    48 down

    stage 5
completely missed a blind corner, and hit head on with rock, luckily not too fast
slid off a square right into a tree, again luckily not hard
cut a 'don't cut' only enough to clip the rock, again lucky it was slow
    1:01 down

    stage 6
missed a slow call (hate those 6 right slow, hairpin left corners lol) hit a rock, luckily no major damage
    finished off well
really love those hairpins with space to slide the car, feels good man
1:07 down at the end of the rally

All in all was good fun chasing slambos times as I could grab a couple green sectors each stage so I must be slightly faster in some parts, probably should've done some practice before hand since I've never driven Germany, but that's rally!

That was fun. Been a while since I've played this game. All went okay except for stage 3 where I missed the call for a tight left hander and went flying through the barriers, got reset and handed a 56 second penalty.

    Just completed my run.
Haven't played since the last championship finished :cautious:
Stage 1 & 2 were minced by big penalties for off track adventures. Stage 4 was hit by a jump start penalty. Stages 3, 5 & 6 were ok a small off track excursion or stoppage on each one but nothing too serious.
Kept up with slambo somewhat but the Citroen always seems a class above the other 2000cc cars. I picked the 2001 Impreza to be different :p

Citroen is the car to be in. The ford 2007 is quick but I always drive it into a wall or tree. Although being in the Citroen didn't altogether stop that either. Maan Germany is forgiving, lulling a false sense of security until it's not, then it's very unforgiving!

It's always fun going first, get to be "first" on the leaderboard! (last too I suppose). I'm sure the aliens here will knock off the time without any trouble, but I'm pretty happy with the run this week. No track reset penalties or major "oh :):):):)" moments, and this combo is sooo much fun! Good luck all!

You definitely seem to have more pace, but also seem to have more "adventures" too, so anything could happen (and generally does)

    ...and adventures I did have!

    stage 1
Within the first 5 corners I hit a crest and the boot opened (I use chase cam so with the boot bouncing you can imagine how happy I was)
At a caution big jump I was cautious but still managed a rollover...
    but it closed the boot!
    8 down on @UrsineSaturn9

    s2
slid off a tight corner and got stuck between trees front and back ARGHHH
    8sec reset
Missed a hairpin went straight on (I've missed this one before and done a left donut... it's a right hairpin)
killed the marshal after finish but thankfully reset before he was flattened
    12 down

    s3
long stage which was almost perfect!!
a couple of wobbly moments but no offs or spins
    2.6s up!

    s4
shorter stage, no offs, a couple minor issues
    green in 3/4 sections
    7.6 up

    s5
    cut a don't cut and spun 180
0.040 slower on that stage with 3/4 green sections
    still 7.6 up

    s6
    6/8 green sections
almost fell off the hairpin with drops on either side
360 spin clipping the crest at one point
    18.6 up at finish

So it seems you are right ursine... If I could stop my adventures maybe I could catch those guys ahead, but same might go for them too
