    So many of the most critical pace notes are terribly timed. I have it on earliest and Scotland is almost undriveable at full commitment because of late calls into catastrophic corners! So often in many locations the "tightens", "caution" or some other critical modifier comes late in the description instead of first up so you miss the opportunity to brake early. :rolleyes:

    @Hatfield so close for the first 5 stages at Monaro, and then........ :poop:

    Hey everyone,
    I havent played dirt rally for a long time. Turned it on to find a rally was up as have been busy with family. Was gutted i missed the first round, however i did notice my 4 year old son must of got board at home and thought he would help me out.o_Oo_Oo_O Atleast he got me one championship point haha. Have just completed Australia and wow wee what a interesting one. Had to do a few practice runs to get used to it all again. Wasnt too bad over all so cant complain too much.

    Some sector times set at USA to chase, but Codemasters servers being what they are decided not to record most of my stage times so will be a non-result for me this round unfortunately. :(
    Not a big fan of USA in general and with several night stages needed to turn my graphics settings way down to get a decent frame rate on the Rift S. Try again in a couple of weeks I guess....

    that sucks... was hoping to chase your times again


    anyway here is my recap:

    Stage 1 missed a slow turn and went the other way but looped it around so nothing major
    4th overall
    5s behind @UrsineSaturn9
    0.3 in front of @v8power383

    S2, 2 green sectors!
    2nd overall
    19s behind kano
    4 ahead of ursine

    S3, 3 green sectors but barrell rolled off a jump and had to restart the engine, plus I took out a sign post lol
    2nd overall
    21 behind kano
    2 in front of ursine

    Service, full repair and new tyres

    S4, 1 green sector
    23 behind kano
    22 front v8p

    S5, 1 green
    28 kano
    39 v8p

    S6, 5 green!!! but had a slide off and had to reverse TWICE, then did a 360 out of the water splash
    42 kano
    1:05 v8p

    Service, full repair and new tyres

    S7, 1 green
    50 behind kano

    S8, 1 green and clipped a fence and had to reverse at speed
    55 kano

    S9, 2 green
    58 kano at finish of rally

    I found that over certain sectors I could beat kano but generally not by much, whereas the red sectors he took seconds out every time, still very happy with my overall performance

    First 2 stages went quite well was about 15 seconds down and in 2nd place.
    3rd stage is where it all went wrong
    About 1:35 in i clipped a dirt bank with the rear of my car which sent me into a slide over a small jump and stopped by a fallen tree no harm done other than some lost time. About 20 seconds later i went wide and drove along another dirt bank which sent me into the fence and got a reset and penalty before even hitting any spectators - kind of annoying. 20 seconds after that i clipped a rock sticking out from the rock face with my rear and got turned into a 540° spin. Turned around again and just after the 4 sector started a hit a jump wrong which caused me to land with no where to go but an embankment sending me head on into a tree. Got what i thought was only a front left puncture and thought i could soldier on to the finish but suddenly got terminal damage for a wheel part failure :(:unsure: turned out i had punctured both front wheels even though the icon at the bottom left of the screen only said front left, disappointed as that shouldn't be a terminal damage condition especially when i have a spare on-board.
