I’m interested, but will I have to put the time in to get the cars/ licences/ money to play online against you guys? Sorry been about 4 years playing Project cars, so not sure how it all works again…
Gave the Beetle one last thrash before GT7 dropped, one of the biggest rushes I’ve ever felt nailing this lap. Happy GT7 day everyone, and enjoy the new game!
The AI on hard put up a reasonable fight too. Nowhere near unbeatable, but if you make a mistake, it's not a given that you'll catch up in equal machinery!
Hey Lee, hope you're well mate and enjoying the new GT... How does it feel compared to GTsport ? It looks amazing, some of the vids this morning are mind blowing with the graphics etc, always the games strength over the alternatives. Any changes in physics, tyre models / options etc ? Improvements - Disappointments ??? Interested to hear anyone's opinions on the above and initial impressions.
Hey Stu, 2021 was a shocker for me, but doing well now thanks mate! Hope you're hanging in there too. I've only played a couple of hours, but it does feel different to GT Sport. Not massively different, but a bit more towards sim than arcade. The in-cockpit movement is much more noticeable, when you ride kerbs or hit bumps or whatever. Sounds has been tightened up, with less gearbox whine and less tyre squeals! The main difference is the visuals though. It's the first game I've played that feels truly next-gen. Some people won't like that you have to unlock tracks and cars and the like. You're only given 3 tracks to start, and two of them are speedways! You quickly get to unlock more, but that will be a complaint for sure. The map is awesome and you are guided through with each icon opening up as you progress. The used car lot is back and the tuning is really in-depth as expected. I like the fact you can measure your PP after you've made changes. Almost every change will alter your PP, so it's nice to see what impact your changes will have before needing to test. Overall I'm very impressed so far. I'm a GT fan from day one so perhaps a bit biased, but this truly feels like the proper GT game we've been waiting for since GT4. I'll give it a good workout over the weekend and give you another update P.S. Tom's Supra has never looked so good!!!
I've found the physics to be the biggest difference in playing the game, it's a significant improvement i think although quite a lot more difficult. Much more precise throttle and steering required to not turn around in anything with a bit of power. The graphics are a big improvement too, Trial Mountain looks awesome I remember being amazed at Deep Forest in GT3, feels a bit similar going into Trial Mountain in GT7
Feels like the physics and handling has "matured" for lack of a better word. GT has grown up a little bit!
