Well at this stage, only 25 of the 51 entrants have voted. There's still time for others to push the Audi into the lead, if they feel so inclined. And, we'll be collectively 10sec a lap slower and that ought to make for closer racing. Oh, and I suppose, let's not use the Tokyo track if the Nissan wins.
No point really, just found it interesting that there is such a difference in performance at the same PP. The Nissan is a good car and even fun at Tokyo. 60kmh slower on the straight is all.
I tried a few tracks last night that should work really well if the Nissan gets up. Some of the shorter, more technical circuits are really fun and will test even the best among us. Brands Hatch, Autopolis, Kyoto Yamagiwa all would be exceptional fun in the Nissan. Just forget about the "big" circuits like Spa, Monza, Bathurst etc.
Yeah that would probably work too. Did a few laps there and it was pretty good fun...once you work out the marker boards are in feet and not metres! LOL
Exactly my thoughts as well. Also as T-GT_racing said, Grand Valley. Was also thinking Catalunya (No chicane), the new Nurburgring Sprint track for the endurance (as much as I hate that chicane, and the potential to do it 50+ times in a row does my head in). Just ideas.
Yep, forgot to mention that one. The Nurburgring Sprint track is perfect for the Nissan. It is surprisingly good through the first part of the lap and has plenty of grip through there. The chicane is very manageable too. The S15 doesn't mind jumping the kerbs a bit!
Two gt4 in a row is why I didn't vote for the Nissan, of the cars left the porsche has the most 'interesting' handling characteristics
So for those that have tested the Nissan. I have tested on 3 tracks so far. What tyres would Y’all be thinking should be used?
I get your point, but a car/track combination that is great to drive might not necessarily be so great for racing against 15 other people. The Cayman (Gr4) season we did a few years ago had Tokyo South and Spa which in Div 1 were both pretty good races along with some of the slower tracks.
It would be cool to have optional strategies with 2 tires available. RH - goes longer, but more understeer to battle so slower lap times and ends up a one stopper. Where RS is a 2 stopper, but would make up the extra pit stop by much less understeer and faster laps.
