Dry run race. VR First to Last For those interested in a raw VR point of view from first to last job. I may edit it later to cut out the rawness and just do the 15 lap race. If this goes against ROOZ terms and conditions I will pull it down and delete the post (edit) Cut out alot of fluff from the beginning while we set up. Here is what the race was like from first to last.
Some adjustments to the handicaps have been made, and because of the fuel "gurus", I have increased the laps by 2, and initial fuel down to 55L. All changes updated in the OP. @emmo46 could you please be back up host, I should only need you if the weather is bad my way, my power is reliable now. Just opened a room, probably be on for atleast an hour or more.
Just missed you probably, jumped in a room with Beats (ff at bathurst) n emmo and a few others about 8. Love to know your best lap time. I am guessing 2:02.318
Thats incredibly precise lol i actually dont know what my best was. I was focused on just getting the most out of the car. Understeers like a dog on worn tires and very inconsistant with front end traction. Sometimes it just dissapeared and i had zero steering. Not sure if i was perhaps marginally too quick at times and it just disagreed with my ambitions lol Should be a fun car to race though. Can be very aggressive coming down the mountain providing steering allows it. The back end is very solid.
That is what erks me, one lap it is ok and then next lap it ploughs like a pig at the cutting and Forest Elbow and a second or more is lost.
The car obviously has understeer, I am having similar problems and at Griffins too. But the lap to lap difference is us, the driver. I am over aggressive at all three when it massively understeers, either I braked to late or didn't get my foot off it. In defence of the car, in any car I could do 100 laps in 100 different ways at Bathurst. That's what I love about the track, even your best lap you think you left something out there and could have gone faster.
If you all slow down to my pace it’s not that bad and we could all be in the middle of the pack together
It does pay, a little bit. I have not fully punished your pace, that would be punishing you for practice. Even if you improve from here there would be no further adjustment.
