Sorry Konnor I should have responded, we had a run tonight and had a decent field of us, some are still going
How on earth do you get this car off the line!? Tried Clutch + 1st gear - Release clutch on Green Lights Hold Brake + 1st and nearly jump started... And i also just put it in first, waited for the green lights and gave it some Jandal. All resulted in me going Backward very very quickly...
A lot of Trial and Error with this Sierra last night and i finally got to the bottom of how to start this car as quick as possible. I went through in this video the 10 quickest ways i found to launch the car off the line, however even on this list there is an 8 tenth of a second gap from fastest to slowest just accelerating to 150kp/h. Hope this helps anyone else who was struggling
Yep, by a decent margin over the next quickest option. My theory with that is with the Clutch, no matter how quick you release it, you are still 'progressively' coming off the clutch. With the Handbrake however its either 100% on or 100% off
Yah. Normally theres 100 different techniques that will work basically identically, however with this car you have to get it right or else the Turbo won't spool up, or it'll bog down. Much more important this season.
Still not the quickest way But I am happy your are going with that, just don't complain again if I am beside you on T1 if I am lucky enough to start on the second row. Prob not very likely with so many quick drivers around, but I do usually punch above my weight in qualifying, so hopefully for your sake that doesn't happen! .
Care to share then? You're not the only one who can go aggressive into Turn One jkjk aha. Not sure anybody is guarenteed to be up front in this car just yet. Very different to what we've had the past 3 seasons and we've had plenty of quick guys join since then. Spent 90mins trying to get the launches quicker, so if you know a quicker way it'd be appreciated so i could update my video for the Tips and Tricks thread which i'll be trying to get up again. Plus as you saw at Laguna starts aren't my strong suit anywho
C'mon it's not that hard to get it off the line: 1) Put car into reverse 2) Depress clutch 3) Jump on the accelerator 4) Drop the clutch once the lights go green
