Update 1.08 with the tyre fix is now live.

Please note: The tyre compound rule will not revert for Suzuka, however it may revert in time for COTA onwards.

I didnt think that would happen, with the silence coming out of codies. Awesome news

With any luck, silence means they're too busy working on the fix.

Mods on the Codies forums were pretty quiet until about a week ago, until the said they'd trial it on Steam then move it to the console versions. And now today they've confirmed that this is the last patch for the game which I think is a huge disappointment, the disaster that was F1 2015 was still getting updates 2 weeks before the sequel so it seems we'll just have to deal with broken delta times, ghost glitches, and problems with the VSC/SC until F1 2017.

We're nearly there, only a few rounds left before we wrap up this season.
Suzuka is a very tough circuit, and very hard on tyres. A perfect setup is required to truly take on this track and come out on top. A narrow circuit as well, there's only one realistic overtaking chance and that is into the Casio Triangle.

Remember you must start on the soft compound tyres otherwise you will face a penalty. Give everyone time to finalise their strategies and ensure you are recording your footage.

    Tyres: S,M,H

Did a bit of testing of the Tyre glitch last night, and found no difference in wear rates no matter what tyre i started on.

Did you try the stop on lap 1 method?

I think the stopping on lap 1 was just to get maximum advantage out of slower wear on the softer tyre.

Wont be able to tonight but I should be able to over the weekend. For what it's worth, from my understanding the glitch only comes into effect after the first pitstop.

yeah it did before the patch in the tests i did, and didnt affect me in my testing last night. same situation on each test.

General consensus in the Codies forum is that theglitch is fixed, but PC people are now having framerate issues prior to races now, but doesnt seem to be an issue on PS4

I noticed there was a serious amount of sound delay too, I was hearing my tyres on the kerbs despite being in the middle of the track, no where near a kerb!
