Koastr mate you sealed the deal on this game for me lol after reading your interview.

    * Does anyone use any car/track mods? I've seen heaps but not sure which ones are accurate or good...

    * I've added my Steam ID to my signature. Some casual runs in AC would be cool :)

    How's it going guys?
Does anyone use the TH8A shifter in this game on PC? Should it actually be plugged directly into the PC via DIN/USB cable? * for H pattern

We use heaps of mods mate. Mostly stuck to kunos cars for seasons but used quite a few mod tracks from RD. A full track list for s1 to s9 is in the s10 discussion thread with DL links.

Lots of fun mod cars too. Have a browse through the season discussion threads or this one.

@Cherno has tried alot and can prob point you in the direction of a few top pics. Also pretty sure he runs the TH8A shifter too ;)

Thanks Koastr. Is RD Race Department?
Can't wait to run on the Japanese mountain roads and try the drift car pack... and the Hondas of course!
So can I plug the H shifter into the wheel base?

I've got the th8rs which is the older model, mine has only a USB connector so I run both the wheel and shifter via USB direct into the PC.
Your TH8A should have a changeable connector, one goes directly into the wheel base the other is a USB connection.
It doesn't matter which way you do it, it will work the same. I think the main reason they added the ability to plug into the wheel base is that some console games don't work with 2 input devices.

With the mods, RaceDepartment is the main hub. "Assettocorsa.club" is good too they rehost lots of mods and have quicker downloads than RD, also some stuff that RD dosen't allow will be on there too.
Go for mods that have been updated to the latest version of ac as some of the older mods will be broken now and need sound fixes and updated tyre models etc.Tracks generally dont need updating between versions but if your using an older/newer version than whats hosted on an online server you will get a checksum error.

AC 1.12 Update - New Content + Changelog
Featuring all-new FREE bonus content, including the Audi Sport quattro S1 E2, as well as our home made Highlands track! The perfect track doesn’t exist. That’s why we created one.

AUDI QUATTRO S1 E2 Introduced back in 1984, the Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 revolutionized rallying. Just like the other manufacturers, Audi used the lenient homologation requirements to create a new rally car. All the car maker needed for homologation was a production run of a mere 200 cars. Blomqvist's spectacular, sideways driving style suited the Sport quattro perfectly. By flicking the tail out, the Swede overcame the natural understeer of the nose-heavy Audi. He won five of the twelve rounds and was crowned the 1984 World Champion. Mikkola and Roehrl also won a round, which was enough to clinch the constructor's trophy.

HIGHLANDS LAYOUTS The perfect track doesn’t exist. That’s why we created one.

Highlands - The original layout, 8152 meters long, filled with fast flowing path with curves and several jumps.

Highlands Long - An extension of the original layout, 12191 meters long and has all the characteristics of the original layout. This layout features some slower curves, a fast series of left and right turns, after a passage between rocks and the distinctive 3km long "Cabhag straight"

Highlands Drift - A configuration born to create long powerslides with supercars and hypercars. At 5167 meters long, this layout features long, flat and smooth curves, perfect for holding a constant power slide. The "tower lùb", guards the surroundings at the top of the hill.

Highlands Short - The shortest configuration, only 1714 meters, but based entirely inside the city. Incredibly intense and requires the concentration of a pro.

All four layouts share the same starting positions and pit lane, as well as the first corner and final 2 corners.

    FIXES INCLUDE

    • Improved and updated V10 tyre model for all cars available

This update looks sweet! I'm gonna have a good crack at Assetto on Sunday. Anyone wanna get on for a casual session on the new route? I'm still pretty much an Assetto nube and haven't been online yet, not sure how it all works? Is there an open track style like GT5 had?
Also downloaded a bunch of hillclimb courses that I'm keen to have a few runs on.

I have this shifter and I run it via USB direct to the PC. Never had any problems doing this (also works for the sequential shift)

A post from the Assetto Corsa Facebook Page:
Hi everyone! We want to make you aware of a small update which we are releasing this morning on PlayStation 4. Update v 1.13 contains a fix for a localization issue and will go live very soon!

As a result, Private Lobbies, the Highlands track and the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2 will go live as part of v 1.14 on PS4. Stay tuned for more info...

Hopefully with the introduction of private lobbies we can look towards using it as a league platform on the PS4
