    SUPERCARS WORLD TOUR.

    Round 3 : 7/5
    Brno Czech Republic
    -
    Wet / Dry race. 22 laps - 7/6/17 - Race Start @ 9am
Weather slots : Storm, fog, Light cloud, clear
Based on 1.85L per lap will need 40.7L for the 22 laps...will be tight ! (I av about 1.75L per lap)

    Ok guys,
Bathurst was a tough round and there were a couple of incidents that are still pending with the stewards group. Suffice to say, the wet start to this race has the potential to get ugly IF WE DONT USE OUR BRAINS AND GIVE DRIVERS SPACE.
GETTING OFF THE LINE : Its VERY easy to spin the V8 up in the dry, let alone getting off the line in the wet....All i can suggest is short shifting so you don't spin in front of other cars creating a :):):):) storm.
ROOM CAPTAINS : is up to you if you want to restart IF there is a huge mess off the line. Issue is how many do you do, how many cars have to be affected, and how do you work out what a 'mess' is !
could be there all night ..... is a tough one....
QUAL : Qualifying will be in the wet, and the game will default you to the wet tyre. In the few prac races we have done there ARE STILL GUYS WITH MULTIPLE PIT STRATS AND THEY ARE GETTING GLITCHED IN THE PIT STOP. Make sure you have ONLY the V8 supercar pit strategy. Even delete the default one to save potential problems !

TRACK LIMITS : Is pretty straight forward here, not really anywhere to gain time that wont give you a penalty anyway. We all know the deal. Ripple strips and white lines.

CONTACT : Is more likely in the wet stint. Will be hard to see in traffic with the spray, so drivers from mid pack and back NEED TO DRIVE ACCORDINGLY. Give room, and if you do make contact give the spot back.

PASSING : Is plenty of spots to set up a pass here. When a car pulls along side you are EXPECTED to give racing room. Contact in being aggressive trying to defend will be looked at, better to give room and continue the fight. From turn 3, right through the middle sector is great to set up for a pass....
I wouldn't suggest the T11 chicane, a late dive there will end in tears ;)

TURN 1 LAP 1 : At least T1 is long and wide, everyone should be able to get through clean. Use your brains here lads and give room to those around you. Back half of the grid need to brake a little earlier and not cause chaos with kamikazee passes into 1. Drive IN YOUR LANE till the grid shakes out through turns 3,4 and 5.......PLEEEEEEASE ! .

COMPULSORY PITSTOP : All drivers must make a compulsory pitstop. It would seem there are a variety of strategies that will work here....Should make for a great race....Some things to note...
    - Rain stops about halfway through lap 5....some guys are running the wets to lap 7 .... most are stopping end lap 5....a few are trying end lap 4 (i wouldn't suggest that !)
    - The soft is 'about' 1.5 sec faster than the hard tyre, but you will struggle to get to the end on one set. If you do decide on the soft tyre, you will have to run to lap 7 on the wets and will be VERY low at race end if you 1 stop.....if you 2 stop fill up to 14L and stop at end of lap 16.....will come home fast, but will need to make up the 16 sec for the second pit...
    - If you go the hard option, will be able to get through to the end, but front left does get low into the 50% range, how long you stay on the wets in the first stint is up to you !

    FUEL :
You will need to add 'approx' 2L to finish the race. REMEMBER your pit strat fuel bar is what the pit crew will fuel UP TO. Below is an approx strategy / fuel guide that is an ESTIMATE ONLY for the guys that don't have a lot of time to prac / test....Dont blame me if it doesn't work for you ;)
ONE STOP STRAT : Pit end lap 5, fill to 32L (based on 1.85L per lap) you will get to the end.
TWO STOP STRAT : Pit from L5-7, NO FUEL......Pit again L16 or 17, fill to 14L in pit strat to get home.

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : Both are straightforward, however DO NOT swerve across the front of other cars on entry. Drivers should remain RIGHT on the exit of T14 for a clean entry into pit lane. There Is a penalty here if you cut the yellow pit entry line. You have been warned ;)
On EXIT, drivers should be aware of fast drivers approaching. The exit line isn't that long, so you should stay as far right as possible into T1 if there is traffic approaching, once up to speed then all should be good to resume racing by the time you start your run down into T3

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. With the 2 classes there is slightly more chance of blue flags coming into play, so you should be aware of the leaders coming up on you, and move out of the way as soon as possible. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty. For cars making the pass (leaders), you still have a responsibility to avoid contact with slower traffic

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : This season we will again be using the stewards group for racing infringements and protests. The specific Stewards group thread will have all the info in it, regarding rules and regs, and the protest procedure. Please read it and understand how it works...we are still to link in the collated rules and regs.........You have until 12PM monday night to submit a protest, and 12PM Tuesday night for your evidence to be submitted (ie video).
    http://www.raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/stewards-group-official-thread.2593/

NOTE : We will be tweaking the penalties / penalty table a little this season, to give a little more wriggle room with how the penalties are handed out, and for the severity of the 'infringement'. This is still a work in progress however and may not be finalized before round 1.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY ! : Please remember to save your replay after the race. If you want to protest anything, we can only act on the info we have in front of us, failure to do so will not enable us to view things from your game perspective, and with some of the issues we have seen, this could have a massive influence on how the stewards group will view and rule on any incident.

    Thanks Stu and Ads
