I would think most will be on a 2 stopper. The only tyre that sees any significant wear around here is the front left. Softs are still very driveable up untill the FL drops below 40 the other 3 will still be 75+. Unless your on a controller I would consider it impossible for the FL to be any less than 50% after 10 laps. You should be aiming for 12-14 laps on softs and then change to hards on the fronts and softs on the rear if you want to 2 stop. 2 stopping on softs is possible but you'd have to be very kind on your tyres to get 17 laps out of the FL. If you plan on going 3 stopping I wouldnt be considering anything other than running softs from start till finish (Unsure of controller wear rates). As for fuel. I find it hard to use anymore than 1.6l a lap. To be on the safe side I would go with filling up to 32l. This will ensure you will get home (fuelwise) if your final stop is on or after lap 30.
Damned if I know what I'm going to do. I just can't get the FL to last, I know it's my driving technique (turning too hard too late) but getting my head around that on the track seems impossible at the moment.
Keep it stock. Increasing pressures decrease temp and consequently tyre wear to an extent. But increasing tyre pressure also reduces the contact patch with the Tarmac increasing tyre wear and reducing grip. The excessive tyre wear is more of a track issue opposed to a car setup issue. IMO excessive wear of the front left is unavoidable. Remember track temp is going to vary by 20 degrees throughout tonight's race given 24 hour cycle and fog.
Hey everyone. Just letting you all know that we have a new reserve driver who will be joining us tonight, please welcome @arnold watson (arnoldwa) to the division!
It turns out that naacs has had to pull out for the rest of the season so Arnold now has a permanent spot. You're welcome to the reserve spot, are you the right pace for this division though?
No worries mate. So far I have a full grid tonight but if anyone pulls out at the last minute I can send you an invite.
If you can run consistent 1.47 to 1.48 think you should go ok I've got a pb of 46.6xx I've just done 20 laps and it was really dark and my lights didn't come on automatically there was still enough light but nothing compared to when I turned the lights on
I believe they will only auto turn on/off when going into the pits. So if its no dark enough when you take your first pit stop you will have to manually put them on.
