I think people have too much expectation for wheel to wheel racing, that's not what F1 is about (and hasn't been since the primitive aero days). About the only way I ever see that happening again is for them to become less aero dependent, but they still somehow need to be F1 fast. It might work if they did the following: Reduce aero (specifically aero that has a negative impact on a car running behind) Reduce weight (to counter the loss of performance from reduced aero) Allow active suspension (again to counter the loss of aero) Increase rubber (again to counter the loss of aero) More power (probably just let them continue to develop the current power units unhindered) With any luck the result would be cars that are still much faster than anything else on a road course, but where guys can attack when close to the car in front.
Could have had 4 had he not binned it on the first lap at Monaco... His San Marino and Monaco pole laps though for me are just insane.
New Haas: Hmmm.... Can we go back? It looks alright on TV but the striking red made it stand out, so they replace it with white, the most boring tone in existence. Joy.
Mick Schumacher will be doing a demo run in his old man's Benetton B194 at Spa this weekend. 25th anniversary of Michael's first win. I miss Schumi so much.
