We found some great cars, and a few lemons tonight. I agree with DJ, that Lambo Huracan is a very strong candidate for a season. Same with the Fezza 488 GT3. Both provided great close racing and would be good around any track.
It was also good to have an almost full room without any major issues that I saw.

The Ferrari 488 GT3 was def the winner for me tonight. might do a run with mixed weather and pit stops, see how it goes.

The 488 GT3 felt a little off for me, couldn't quite put my finger on it
Long beach is a good track for it :whistling::whistling:

Definitely good to get an almost full room going.
Didn't come across any issues with glitches or lag that affected actual racing which is good!

The last car we ran last night after the lambo was good. Personally I had no front end grip in the lambo but it was still fun.

I found the Ferrari had alot more understeer than the lambo or even the BMW. I did the Ferrari with you guys at nurburg GT the lambo there in a different room and the BMW there solo.
Some corners I would have to nock it down an extra gear

I haven't driven the BMW but I do prefer the Lambo over the Ferrari.

It will be good to test out a wider range of cars early on, obviously we need to find a good car to kick off with on this game, but it's also helpful to get some ideas for future seasons. Lets face it we'll probably be doing 8+ seasons of racing on this.

I had a blast in the old school Camaro yesterday and that was pretty fun to drive.

I reckon for season 1 of PCars 2 we go with a car that is a feeder series for the pinnacle series of motorsport IRL (V8 Supercars, GT3, WEC etc). My car of choice would have to be the Porsche Cayman GT4.

The Cayman GT4 is fairly easy to drive allowing for close racing and ensuring that time spent practicing is more for learning the track (Lets face it the track list for season 1 will be dominated by the tracks new to PC2) opposed to getting on top of the car. It gives everyone time to get on top of the new physics engine and also allows us to be more experimental with weather options as it isn't alien level difficult to drive in anything other than a completely dry track. The cayman GT4 also has both hard and soft tyre compounds allowing for plenty of strategy something that we should take advantage of given pitstops not only work but are implemented really well in PC2.

I tend to agree with this, easier car means closer racing, often meaning more people feel like they have a chance of competing.

And speaking of GT4 cars, the KTM X Bow was pretty fun when I did a few laps in it.

So after spending a while setting up buttons for bar adjustments etc today I think it could be time to order a button box there is so much stuff you need to allocate a button.

Renault R.S. 01 GT3 is another great car. If you're feeling ballsy the original (non GT3) R.S. 01 is pretty potent and wild too.

Have to agree, it was the best of the 4 cars I was there for last night. The NSX was very good too and as for the Group 5 Porsche it is best left in the Garage for S's & G's
