first online run for me last night & i now have an inkling about the bugs & glitches going on, disqualied in qually at Daytona for a pit speed limit infraction seemed a tad harsh but at least it let me race loved both the Porsches, the old one at Bathurst is a handful but a fabbo challenge, i liked the new gt3 enduro car also. the R.S 01 gt3 was a delight to drive, esp with my ffb settings still being worked out but..... MATT's NISMO GODZILLA gets my vote so far, tons of grip, fast & THOSE AWESOME SOUNDS ON THE DOWN CHANGES! we could do a season easily in Matt's car!
yeah was good fun last night guys....sorry have been on late and missing chatting to you all a bit earlier in the night.... Am starting to get my head around it, and its only getting better....fiddled again with my wheel settings for 20 mins this morning in the GT3 Mclaren at Brno (what an awesome car on the softs......on the hards its a pig !) Feels really good but just needs a little refinement - Immersive - gain - 90 - Volume - 60 - Tone - 65 - FX - 65 Menu Spring - 0.70 Some great add ons that add to the immersion.. - Pit control, awesome ! I forgot last night to actually leave the box, everything before has driven out for you ! - Cut penalties can be added up before a pit penalty is applied....will need to do a few race runs to see how many people get penalties and what they add up to ! From what i have seen a cut is worth +3 seconds, so if that 'penalty' is linear, then i would think that a combined 15 sec before an enforced drive through would be 'about' right... - The fuel burn and tyre wear options are much simpler. Will be on tonight, all things going well for some more testing
Is there a way to set the default tyres for a room? When I tried setting up a few rooms in the early days, all the cars I tried started me on hards and couldn't find a way to change it.
If you haven't tried it yet the Caterham Seven 620 R is a must. This car was utter rubbish in PCars 1 but is a dream to drive in PCars 2. Easy to power slide out of corners has amazing brakes and sounds amazing. Definitely a car that needs to be considered for a season car. Its also technically a road car so it would be first for project cars sunday league even tho its got just as much grip as any race car minus the aero.
That is a very cool car to drive and there is other track day cars that are great fun to drive as well if you get the chance
I can see a Gymkhana season in the works already! Even the sprint car boys would have been impressed by how little time that car spends going in the same direction the rear wheels are pointing!
ok guys...Want to get the car nailed down in the next few days to give everyone a chance to get their head around it, the physics and how pitstops etc work, while i work on a track list to suit it... @its-benny-racer @dj2ca @v8power383 @Coojak3009 + any of the other regular runners over the last few weeks, can you please highlight the short list of cars that everyone seems to have liked so i know i have the right ones listed... - Renault GT3 RS 01- Seemed very stable, and seemed fast ! - BMW TC ? Bentley GT3 (what a sound !) Lambo GT3 Ferrari 488 GT3 If there are any that i have missed let me know....
Given the 5 likes to my post regarding the caterham in less than 24 hours I would think that it would make the shortlist
Drove it last night CAGME and it was FANTASTIC, however race car it is for this first season.... We did 1 race in it and everyone was blown away with how much fun it was.....great little car
http://uk.caterhamcars.com/motorsport/seven270r Given there is a 270R one make series in the UK you could argue that it is a street legal race car. If the majority actually want to race a "race car" then the caterham won't win the final car poll but there is no harm in it's inclusion.
