Not everyone has a setup with an actual clutch pedal mate, for them this is the only effective way to launch the car. You may not agree with it but it is not cheating. Cheating would be doing something like braking overly late and banging down through gears unrealistically quickly to get the car pulled up. Or taking advantage of exceeding track limits where a penalty isn't applied for whatever reason.

You can still get penalised but you won't receive the dreaded "engine cut" penalty in this game. From what I've heard you can receive a time penalty that gets added to your race time or something along those lines, and disqualification if you do it too much.

I've heard that if the real life car doesn't have a handbrake (perhaps it's somewhat common for race cars) then the game won't have one for those cars either. The same was in pC1.

    Playing on PC
    Equipment:
    Thrustmaster T300 with f1 wheel add-on
    fanatec CSP V3 pedals

little to no force feedback in any car through the wheel. All i get is the a small heavy section of the wheel, the rest of the time there is little to no resistance. yet to find a fix. from memory PC1 had much better FFB than this.. maybe i have been on iracing for too long now?

No such issues on the PS4 side thankfully.

Bug: Sudden surge in acceleration at 2nd to last turn, coming through the 2nd part of the double apex left hander @ Sugo track.
Scenario: Random. Has only been observed to occur at this particular corner at this particular track.
    Fix: No known fix yet.

Bug: Liveries changing after a race finishes
Scenario: Livers have noticed to be randomly changed when back in the lobby after completing a race.
Fix: Enter livery selection and select desired one.

@VARDZ, solution to the disappearing HUD issue you had last night.

    Bug: HUD disappearing.
Scenario: New session and/or new car.
Fix: Enter options and turn HUD back on.

Sugo, 2nd to last turn turn, coming through the 2nd part of the double apex left hander.

Note to all: Not a bug as such, but when you set a pit limiter button, the limiter will be turned OFF every time you come out of the pits so need to remember to turn it back on otherwise you will be penalised/dsq depending on how fast you end up going.
You also need to remember to turn it off at pit exit as it doesn't turn itself off either.

This seems like normal operation to me though. You turn the limiter off at pit exit otherwise you can't go vrooooom, so naturally you'd need to engage it again when entering the pits.

Yeah, just wanted to remind everyone as we've always ran with auto pit stops.
I got dsq from qualy the other night because I left the pits without the limiter on and was just flooring it through.
Then I got a 2 grid place penalty last night for speeding before I realised the limiter wasn't on (wasn't going as fast as the first time round).
Then I forgot to turn it off after I already exited the pit lane lol

You can opt to not have a button set for the limiter if you want. This way it automatically limits your speed when you exit your bay, turns off the limiter once you're out of pit lane, and automatically engages the limiter when you come into the pits (you just need to make sure you're under 59kph when entering the pits).

For a lil bit I thought it may have been my wheel, after a bit of research turns out its not a bug at all and SMS have implemented this into the game with vehicles which have downshift protection

I'm all for this, it'll stop people from unrealistically banging down through the gears lol.

I agree it feels very 'laggy' to me but I've never driven a game with downshift protection before so maybe it just needs getting use to.

Try blipping the throttle on downshift, to match the engine revs to car speed, that can help,

Pretty sure it actually auto blips anyway.
