The grip went away when the heavy cloud moved in from laps 4 to 6 and then for the final 2 laps the grip returned
At Hockenhiem the default date is 27/4 but it was found that the tires actually lose temp as the race goes on so the 1/6 was used and it was ideal
thing is (and people can test this sunday) with the limited wear rates i dont think it will matter...i just hope that the tyres fall off a cliff so it becomes a viable option to swap tyres or take the risk to do the stop without changing them...
I'm guessing it's the same thing as the we had with the FB last season, which seemed to be a balance thing. The FB was faster on the softs in slower corners, but in high speed corners it tended to turn in better on the harder tyre. It felt like the harder compound had a bigger effect on rear grip than front grip, which tilted the balance of the car more towards oversteer. The rear felt looser, but not loose enough to break away due to the downforce. The same might be for the RS01, if you could change the setup to dial in more oversteer, it might be quicker on the softs. This isn't necessarily unrealistic, changing the balance of the car can have more of an effect on performance than reducing grip.
they were good for most the lap but absolutely benny... turn 1 ... the right hander entering the stadium and the final turn... the fastest corners on the track
Changing the topic to liveries.... If nobody has chosen No.6 I will grab it, otherwise I will grab whatever is left
