Looking at everyone's times and after doing some practice during the week with some of you. I have decided this is what I will be better off doing Sunday at Big Willow Raceway.
So had a good full length race practice tonight, was pretty clean. Two crashes cost me 2 mins! First one happened coming on the straight just touched the dirt and spun out into the middle - great design as I finished behind a barrier that would let me back on the track! Second time near the top of the track - again just touched dirt - span and it put me down near the first corner again...another wasted minute. Unforgiving track
Fatigue will play a big role in my race, and with how it went tonight it's not going to be a good role.
Dont worry bout last night, was some v.quick drivers going around - easy to try and keep up and going off the track
All good mate, I practice with that crew quite a bit so I can get a rough gauge of how I'm going. It was good to do a full length race to try and work out a strategy, I think my best chance is to not go off and hoping everyone else does
There's two small barriers that seem to form some sort of dirt escape road on the outside of the final corner that is quite easy to get stuck between. I got wedged in there on an angle and it seemed like it took nearly two minutes to get out.
Another spot to watch, Skintsaint and myself both got caught on the wrong side of the one opposite the pits.
A disconnect for me... Odd, was I lagging?? Doesn't matter half the field had lapped me by the time it happened due to a super bold strategy call which really didn't pay off
