One positive I can think of if we open up tuning is now any car is good to use as you can tune it to your hearts content. Theres no more putting good cars on the shelf cause the default setups are poor

We have tried the tuning thing a few times and it’s always ended the same way, guys with time to tune stick around, the other 80% last 3 or 4 races. The whole premis of the Sunday league is for as close to parity racing as we can. Restrictive yes, but from experience it’s the only way to go to keep things as even as we can.

not sure what u meant by this..are u having a shot at people who get lots of practice and think its unfair, or are you taking the piss out of the people who complain because they cant practice enough and dont seem to improve

This might be a controversial suggestion, we could run a tuned division for those that want that option.

back to the question at hand (don't fix whats not broken), ROAD CAR!!!!
We used them all the time back in the day, but since Pcars has come along we haven't even gone near one for the sunday league. And there are plenty of good ones from which to choose. From older cars like the escort and BMW 2002 to newer cars like the BMW M1 and Caterham 7. And if everyone just wants something that looks racey, most have liveries that are more than just one colour.

Tested a bunch of road cars this weekend, the Merc AMG GT R has been a standout so far.

If anything, the last 2 season cars have felt like a bit too much chassis, not enough engine. You smash the throttle and wait for it to do something.

That AMG engine rips tyres at low speed and never quits as you go up through the gears. That's the kind of car I prefer, something fun to drive as well as race in.

Ferrari 330P4 is a fun car. Well balanced and can throw it around without overheating the tyres. Just doesnt like kerbs much

Just did back to back testing at Imola. Had the P4 first, great fun, have to brake early and avoid kerbs, orherwise it was the best ( and sounds good )
Next was Corvette road car. It just wanted to kill me..
Next was road amg45, sidnt think much of it.
Tried the M1. Was good, but it has slicks. Wouldn't be a bad option tho.
Then tried the Caterham. Was fun also altho a little spungy. Turn in was great and could brake very late. Altho it sounds terrible....
