How fast is crazy fast in the wet? I'm finding myself more at ease in the rain than in the dry. I'm getting 35's in the dry and 42/43 in the wet.
From memory the times got as low as 41, maybe 40. Would have to double check. The dry times got into the low - mid 34s too. I've managed a low 36.0 trying to keep up in the dry. In the wet I'm sitting around 45, just can't find the pace. The car is all over the place. Have tried a range of tyre pressures but nothing is working.
For s and giggles just thought i would show my perspective I'm not making excuses still sorry for incident but just to show it was not a deliberate act cheers
It's really not as bad as it sounds, car is great in the wet. I just hope the pits don't cause any issues like they did in the practice run we had last night. Several of us got stick in there for 40-50 secs.
Didn't doubt you for a minute mate We've always had great battles in the past, can't see how it would have changed now. Your video actually shows why I felt the old 'magnetic' effect. Both our wheels rubbing like that would definitely cause that feeling. Hoping to get on tonight for some practise... haven't jumped on since last race...
What happened you were just stuck sitting there with no work happening? IV had pitstops where IV requested a tire change and it hasn't changed tires that's frustrating
It completed the tyre change and then the pitguy at the front just stayed there with his hand up for ages. Anne got it even worse than I did.
Make sure your pit strat is not set to recommended because if you don't have enough wear they will not change tyres
ill be on sunday arvo at some stage for a little prac..... if your around i can help you out.... - tips for the wet, brake a little earlier, and roll a bit more - the BIG puddle on the back chicane, need to brake before the ripple strip on the right, and turn BEFORE you hit the puddle - On the hairpin after the back chicane, try to run your tyres on the ripple strip on the right..... i have tried all tyre pressures and low is definately better.... Is no way of getting temps up, but there is heaps of grip so long as your not super aggressive.... ive only dropped mine a little, am a little higher on the front (about 145) and about 130 on the rears im running high 41s or low 42s in the wet, but some of the prac rooms have been 'wetter' than others.... Thats the beauty of this game, the rain start and intensity will be random, so you will need to adapt.... Not sure how that stacks up pace time, or what the 'fast' guys are running in the dry.....
it can be where there are other cars around you, coming in, going out, the pit crew will hold you.... That said, i got held up on wed night for about 6 or 7 seconds for no apparent reason.....
Yes Subby was parked right in front and I came into the pits maybe 8-10s before him so it Made me wait for him but then just seemed to idle forever!
