Had a fun but frustrating race
The battle at the start of the race with
@xlxy90 @Ozglenn and
@apex2691 was a lot of fun going into the first pitstop. Soon after that i past Xlxy on the outside of the chase for second and on the next lap coming into Griffin's Bend he'd fight back only for him to put his left hand side wheels on the grass in the braking zone which ended up with him making contact with me which put me in the tyres (No hard feelings mate) Also have never raced with heavy damage before so i just presumed it would go away after a little while but once i realised that wasn't going to happen i had to pit again.
Had two more incidents similar to that one running maybe a quarter of a tyre wide at skyline which turned my car hard left into the concrete and making a complete mockery of the esses on a purple lap. Regardless for the final 30 laps or so it felt like i was in time trail mode which gets a little boring after a while.
Don't get me wrong i'm thrilled to have won the teams title but it felt a little lacklustre on the night.
@JonoStan96 disconnecting early ended the chance for the Stewards team and both of the Lucky's Lawn Care Mclarens were nowhere the whole race. Speaking of that some of the cars in the race looked like a complete handful compared to others. The McLarens and Audis in particular looked horrible handling wise. I followed
@Knuckles in the esses coming up to lap him and i think a spider on a ice skating rink had more grip than that McLaren. It's something Jono should look into for his W.E.T series because i can imagine for those guys they probably didn't enjoy the race as much as the guys in Porsche's, Mercedes and Aston's who were miles faster.
Have to thank
@Mezign for starting the series and
@Bryan_F for finishing it off. Overall it was a great series and one i enjoy racing in.
@Noremac and
@VARDZ it's been great working with you guys and congrats
@Noremac on the drivers title. Also well done for the guys on the podium.
Really looking forward to 2019 with Jono's WET series and Bryan's TCR series in the works alongside a part time commitment to Sunday League. See you guys next year
