Will post all driver briefings in here for each round, highlighting track limits, pit entry and exit requirements and any changes to regulations if we need to change.

Just a couple of points after last few seasons.
    - Our main goal is to provide CLEAN HARD RACING. Has and always will, be our 'mission'.
    - Had a few drivers say that they dont want to increase our work load with protests. The stewards group is there to rule on incidents that may or may not require a penalty.
    - If someone drives like a plumb and needs to be penalised, then make a protest.
    - Frivolous protests are a pain in the arse, but genuine incidents and verdicts are both a learning process for drivers involved, and also a deterrent to other drivers who might feel they can get away with driving / racing rough and pushing our league rules.
    - PLEASE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND OUR TRACK LIMIT AND REDRESS RULES.
    - IF YOU DONT KNOW, OR ARE UNSURE, PLEASE ASK US !

Ok Guys, Round 1 in Dubai !
For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    -
RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on on those ripple strips or lines at all times.
    - Rubbins racing as they say, however we wont tolerate 'rough' driving. See below !
    -
Car resets : You are allowed to reset your car, but you must do it when safe to do so. If you reset in the path of oncoming traffic, you will be penalised. Remember it will reset you to the middle of track, so oncoming cars cannot avoid you. Its tough watch cars drive past, but dont ruin someones night.

    - Room Disconnects : If you disconnect from the qual room, you may get back in OR the room captain / host may agree to restart the room if you cant get back in. THIS SEASON, IF YOU DISCONNECT, AND CANT GET BACK IN FOR QUAL, YOU MUST START REAR OF GRID.

ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:45 EDST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.
    QUALIFYING : 8:10 EDST
RACE START TIME : 8:20 EDST

ROOM RESTARTS : Sometimes there are issues with the room and a new room may need to be started.
    - If a driver is DSC from Qual, they may get back into the qual room with no issue to set a time.
    - If they CANT get back in before race start, then the room host will restart the RACE room (no qual) and that driver MUST start from REAR OF GRID.
    - Will be a ROLLING START with formation lap based on Qual results from qual session from drivers who finished the qual session.
    - Fuel will have to be turned OFF
    - Formation lap is from RACE START, and cars will form up before TURN 1. When formed, cars will stay single file till last corner, where lead car will slow to 80KLMS, and hold the field till they go. (effectively safety car). Once the lead car accelerates , all other drivers can assume that the race has started.
    - No passing before start / finish line.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Round 1 is generally the most common where we see contact issues, particularly if we have drivers who haven't done a lot of practice. If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. Giving room on both sides till you get through the turn 1, 2 and 3,4 complex will see everyone get through without their night being ruined. Take extra effort to not ruin someones night in the first race of the season ;)

TRACK LIMITS : Track limits will remain as they always have, you must have 2 wheels on OR inside the ripple strips at all times. Make a mistake or 2 and thats ok, but making CLEAR advantage from cutting the track will see you penalised. If you do it consistently, you may even be DSQ from the race.
Is a few places here where you need to remain inside track limits.
    - TURN 3/4 Chicane. Drivers cutting here consistently WILL receive a penalty
    - Turns 6, 7, 10 and 11 drivers must NOT run wide continually, gaining advantage.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
Main spots are Turn 1 and the back straight hairpin, Turn 5.

COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES. up to you if you want to take tyres, you WONT NEED FUEL !
If you havent done pit stops before :
    - Make sure you know where the pit entry line is. you must be at 60KLM at the line or you get penalised.
    - Make sure you have you pit controller activated. this is the guy with a big red board only you can see in YOUR pitbay
    - You can adjust the following
    - Brake bias (on the fly with mapped buttons)
    - ABS
    - Traction Control
    - Tire pressures for tyres IF you change them at your stop.

CAR SET UP : There are 2 options for car sets up that people can make.
'LOOSE' or 'STABLE'. It is up to you what setting you use, and it may vary based on the track being used. I would recommend trying both to see what gives the best lap times.

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : We will be running with Pit penalties ON, so will need to make an attempt to enter and exit using the pit lane lines. We have seen people hit with warnings in game, so be aware of staying in the lane. DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT 60KLMS AT THE PIT ENTRY LINE OR YOU WILL GET DSQ FROM THE RACE IF YOU GO IN TOO HOT.
    - IF SOMEONE IS CAUGHT MISSING THE LANE, THEN GOING INTO THE PITS AND GAINING AN ADVANTAGE YOU WILL BE PENALISED.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : The stewards group will again consist of Myself, Ad2mny and Gary... if you feel the need to protest, you need to make us aware by PM before midnight Monday following the race. You will also need to have Video evidence of your protest, or ask the room host to have a look on their replay. You may appeal any stewards decision, and the final decision will be made by Koastr. If there is an issue in the race
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE ROOM OR ON THE FORUM.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved !

Any question re the above just shoot... We assume that everyone reads this, so no excuses for not knowing the rules and procedures.

What if someone leaves/dsc from room between quali and race start do you start in order of qualifying or do they go rear of grid?

    Ok guys and gal.....
Some issues were highlighted after last weeks first round.... All of which are highlighted in every driver briefing put up.
    - Rejoining the track : you MUST look for oncoming traffic when rejoining. Use your track map so you dont take out oncoming cars..
    - Track limits, a mistake or 2 is ok, but continually running outside the ripple strips and white line will result in a penalty
    - Contact to the rear of another car must be redressed if you are at fault. remember if you are behind, its your job to get past cleanly........
Tough track this week, so you will need to be patient and use pit strat to your advantage.

See below !

Remember it will reset you to the middle of track, so oncoming cars cannot avoid you. Its tough watch cars drive past, but don't ruin someones night.

If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. Giving room on both sides till you get through turn 1, the run down the hill and into 3 will be tight and narrow, the run to the hairpin is fast and tight as well.....Give room where needed.

    - The exit of Turn 12, you must keep 2 wheels on the ripple strip or inside on the run up the hill.

FASTEST LAPS IN RACE : The fastest laps will be checked for 'clean' laps. Drivers found to be outside track limits will have that lap invalidated, and fastest lap awarded to next fastest, so long as its within track limits.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.

Ok Guys and Gal, Road America this week.
I did a race run last night, and TBH, i found this track much tougher than last week.....
Tyres you will be fine, i finished on about 75% on the front left which was the worst of them

    - race fastest lap : unfortunately both div 2 fastest laps recorded in race have been deleted due to track limits...Not by much, but we will continue to be tough on this.
    - Pit time glitch. Seems that if you have a 'repair' in your pit stop you get a faster stop.....With damage off, it doesnt cost you time to make a repair, so i would test this out before sunday. I will post this up in the teams chats as well so everyone knows and is a level playing field.

On to Juzzys favourite track this week for the SPRINT ROUND ! Cant believe its round 4 already.....Time flies !
No major issues after last weeks round, all i would say is try to get through race 1 with no contact !
    - Tyre temp gets up on the front left, it doesnt really effect grip however.
    - If you do happen to fall of the track into the nuclear waste zone, make sure you watch for oncoming cars when rejoining
    - See race 2 / reverse grid process below so you know whats happening !

TURN 1 LAP 1 : for race 1, turn 1 will be pretty fast in a pack. Lottery tickets for everyone if we all get through clean !
    - last week, penalties were avoided due to redress after contact.

RACE 1 - 19 laps, all as normal
RACE 2 PROCEDURE - REVERSE GRID - (NOTE CLOUD CHANGES FOR RACE 2)
    -
Race length increased to 20 laps
    - Qual off, and at race start all cars will wait for lights, then on green will line up in reverse order from race 1. This should be done BEFORE the entry to turn 2
    - Once in correct order the lead car will stay at approx 100klm leading the field single file
    - The lead car will SLOW TO 80 on the exit of turn 6, and remain at that pace until turn 9 where they can decide where the race will start
    - the lead driver can 'start the race' anywhere between the exit of 9 and the start / finish line
    - NO PASSING until you pass the start / finish line
    - DRIVERS WHO DSC from race 1 may rejoin the room for race 2, but must start the race from rear of grid.

    POINT SCORES FOR SPRINT ROUND
    - Qual and pole point as normal
    - Race 1 gets full points
    - Race 2 is half points
    - points from both races are added together and that determines overall finishing positions
    - if scores are equal, driver with higher finish in race 1 will be deemed higher finisher

    - Fastest lap point awarded to driver with the fastest lap over both races

TRACK LIMITS : Track limits will remain as they always have, you must have 2 wheels on OR inside the ripple strips at all times. Make a mistake or 2 and thats ok, but making CLEAR advantage from cutting the track will see you penalised. If you do it consistently, you may even be DSQ from the race.
    - nowhere here to take advantage of track limits.

COMPULSORY PIT STOP : N/A this round

CAR SET UP : There are 2 options for car sets up that people can make.
'LOOSE' or 'STABLE'. It is up to you what setting you use, and it may vary based on the track being used. I would recommend trying both to see what gives the best lap times.
    - For the first time ever i have found STABLE is giving me better lap times !

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : N/A this round

Ok, sorry this is late, been flat out......
Is a tough round this week with the WET TO DRY round.....
Make sure you have a pit strat set, where you take SLICK TYRES. (more info below). If you are stuck with this please let me or someone know so we can show you how to set up the right strategy in your pit options.
    - Race starts to dry at 'about half distance" so pit when there is a dry line forming, or a bit earlier if confident .....
    - There will be a couple of rivers and puddles that stay for most of teh race.... the slick copes well with them so long as not in the brake zone, so you will still need to be aware of where they are, and how it might affect a pass.

See below !
    -
Car resets : You are allowed to reset your car IF YOU ARE ON YOUR ROOF, but you must do it when safe to do so. If you reset in the path of oncoming traffic, you will be penalised. Remember it will reset you to the middle of track, so oncoming cars cannot avoid you. Its tough watch cars drive past, but don't ruin someones night.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : WITH THE RAIN, THERE IS A STRONG CHANCE YOU WILL HIT SOMEONE IF YOU DONT USE YOUR HEAD ! If you are mid pack make sure you brake early and give room.... There will be a little leeway at the first chicane, for people running wide, so long as you dont take advantage. I will be asking room captains to have a look at anyone who INTENTIONALLY cut to make spots, and dont redress.

    - TURNS 2-3 (dunlop chicane)
    - Turns 7-8 (chemin chicane)
    - Last 2 turns onto straight....
THERE HAVE BEEN PEOPLE PENALISED FOR TRACK LIMITS, AND ALL DIVS ARE LOOKING FOR DRIVERS WHO CUT TRACK LIMITS CONTINUALLY. DONT DO IT !

Main spots are Turn 5 hairpin, the 7,8,9 chicane and the stop into turn 10.

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.
You will need to make sure you have your strategy set to change from the wet tyre to the SLICK tyre.
    - Make sure you select "change all" in the tyre and fuel options.
    - make sure you select SLICK for all tyres and save you strategy !
    - Make sure YOU SELECT IT BEFORE THE RACE STARTS !

    - Even in the wet, i am finding loose is a faster set up

    JUZZY HOTLAP TBA !

Ok guys and Gal, well done last week in the rain at Bugatti. Tough round, but seems we got through ok.

This weeks round at Hockenheim will also be tough, shadows and a darkening track will make things a little more challenging.

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    -

    - No passing before start / finish line.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Round 1 is generally the most common where we see contact issues, particularly if we have drivers who haven't done a lot of practice. If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. Giving room on both sides till you get through turn 1, the run up to the back straight hairpin. There is enough room for everyone to get through cleanly

    - The obvious is TURN 1, where you must stay in track limits. Drivers running consistantly wide, to the left of the ripple strip WILL BE PENALISED
    - The Exit of turn 10, again drivers running consistently to the left of the ripple strip will be penalised.

FASTEST LAPS IN RACE : The fastest laps will be checked for 'clean' laps. Drivers found to be outside track limits will have that lap invalidated, and fastest lap awarded to next fastest, so long as its within track limits.

Bloody hell that season went fast.... Thanks to everyone who has raced, and stuck out the season.....also to those who have helped with the running of each round, either hosting, results or as room captain.
Good luck to all those who are in the hunt for a championship.
Couple of things that directly relate to the ENDURO round
    - You WILL NEED TO ADD FUEL AT YOUR PIT STOP
    - You will PROBABLY need to take tyres !
    - There is a 24 Hr time cycle so you will be running through the night, the track is pretty well lit so shopuldnt be an issue.

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
