Has anyone had problems with shifters not shifting on the first hit? I have TM T300

Its playing mind games with me too - it only happens when shifting near redline bounce, doesn't happen when i shortshift.

what clutch settings have you got? I know in AC I run a very small clutch depress range 15% to 35% so it sort of emulates the old school brass button clutch...

    flat changing...Gran Turismo...not using clutch.

I haven't tried it actually, as I heard its slower unless u pro...and i'm not.

Good idea to test on a rainy off season day though... :)

What are your thoughts on the DD setup @Noxrai ?

I've got a mate thinking about the PS4 friendly DD from Fanatec. Can anyone else provide a little "feedback" on it?

I absolutely love it so far. I feel I still haven't had enough time with it. Been very busy lately. I can't compare it to other dd wheels as this is my first. But coming from a thrustmaster t300 is just a whole new world to be honest.
The level of fidelity is sublime. It really feels like your driving a real car wheel going around the track. I just recently got kartkraft, and you just couldn't get the same experience without having a dd wheel. It just feels right.
I haven't had any problems with it so far. Build quality feels very solid. Setup was painless and I'm using Fantecs recommended settings for most of my driving games other than gt sport. I had to tune gt sport to my liking.

Setting up profiles for different games is really easy.
My rig I'm making just for it, will probably make it even more immersive as i think I'm losing detail with it clamped to my rickety desk.

Only a few negatives. Main one is price. It's very expensive for most people. I have no buyers remorse though. I'm very happy with it. My wife hates it because i want to spend all my free time on it
Other small negative i hear knowone mention is it is not angled up to you like most other sim wheels which can maybe give you an awkrard grip.. Again I'm remedying this with my rig build.

I'm happy to answer any other questions your friend may have

    Delicious.

Convinced my partner to change the lounge around, and now my rig is in the corner behind our couch. Only issue, is the little one wants to climb all over it now saying 'car, car!'. :roflmao:

I was at HP's corporate welcome centre in the Melb CBD yesterday and had a go on this.
An HP Omen gaming PC, the cube mounted on the bonnet, a 32" curved screen, what looked like a Thrustmaster TS-XW Sparco wheel with Thrustmaster pedals. The box was running PCARS2. I had bang around Bathurst in a Toyota 86 race car. Not too bad once I'd dialled out the wheels dead zone and adjusted the force feedback sensitivity. The pedals had very light springs compared to my modified logitech pedals and the the wheel felt quite dull too. But PCARS2 on the gaming box was really good, fast responsive, clear graphics, good sound through the headphones. Don't know what the box's specs were though.

Oh and they had a bunch of Triple 8 racing stuff in there too, like wheel nuts, drive shafts, a used front splitter off an ex Lowndes car and these used tyres...

Long but very thorough review from Barry about the Fanatec DD2
You tube page as a menu to jump to specific parts... I was most interested in the Fanalab software, driving thoughts and final thoughts :)
