Doesn't worry me it's going to be hard at the front or back of the grid. This track is hard enough to stay on as it is

Doesn't bother me either way. I'll crash at some point anyway. My wife on the other hand. She'd love it if i finished earlier on Sunday nights. So yes, please go ahead with a more streamlined grid at Nurbs so I can get less nags from her.

WELCOME to Season 8!! Thanks to IgnitiON Controls
As always please take 2 mins to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night......If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:50 AEDT. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.
QUALIFYING : Division 1 will be using reverse championship grid order (including calculation for drop round)
    GRID :
    1. @Motors560 (0 pts)
    2. @X-WTF_MAN-X (13 pts - highest placing 9th)
    3. @CaptainRisky21 (13 pts - highest placing 8th)
    4. @Bryan_F (13 pts - highest placing 4th)
    5. @Russell (16 pts - highest placing 7th)
    6. @Noremac (16 pts - highest placing 6th)
    7. @groover33 (19 pts)
    8. @Hatfield (26 pts - highest placing 4th)
    9. @Viperzed (26 pts - highest placing 3rd)
    10. @razor4797 (27 pts)
    11. @JonoStan96 (29 pts)
    12. @ssman244 (30 pts)
    13. @xlxy90 (36 pts)
    14. @KeedenMcdonald (54 pts)
RACE START TIME : 8:30 AEDT (or earlier if all drivers available)

LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS : This is up to the room host. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I always look at 1 or 2 starts if required due to DSC, but as it gets later everyone needs to be aware of getting things going. Please be as reasonable as you can with this....
SIGHT ISSUES: Ensure that you can see everyone on track. After qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again. It can also be done pre-qualifying to save time if there is no chance of latecomers.

FALSE START CHECK : Please note that the start type is Grid Start with False Start Check
Please practice this so you know what to expect. Simply, you hold the brakes on until the lights go from all lit, to none lit

TURN 1 LAP 1 : This has the potential to ruin someones night if we don't use our heads! Should be everyone's goal to get through the first phase with ZERO contact. Give room and run in your 'lane' till you have space to run the normal race line. If your unassisted tap causes someone to spin, you need to redress.

TRACK LIMITS : As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
If you bump someone and they end up off track or teleport back to the corner entry, you must wait for them to rejoin and get back up to speed.
Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass.
So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers. As we know, The Ring isn't very wide. If you are attempting an overtake, please ensure it is done respectfully and be patient. By the same token, if you are being overtaken and then position is lost, aggressively trying to re-overtake won't do you any favours. Patience is key.

    TYRES : Racing Softs

PIT ENTRY : Drivers MUST make an attempt to use the pit entry / exit lines.
PIT EXIT : Please use the pit exit lane and be aware of cars approaching down the straight.
    NOTE: Pitting is NOT compulsory

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : This season the stewards will be will be @Hatfield @JonoStan96 @Viperzed & @emmo46. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let us know via a PM.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. We will ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captain to make any decision.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved!

FINAL NOTE: Could all drivers please confirm their attendance for this Sunday by 'liking' this post in your division. If you are unable to attend, please post in reply as much in your division. This way we can figure out our reserves or if the room can start early in advance.

Phew, that makes my 8:25 seem reasonably OK. On the other hand I saw Ozgelnn and Naacs do 8:04s last night but was blown away by BigChopperDOgs 7:57!!

That was great fun. Disappointed to have not done a normal qualifying session but in hindsight it didn't affect the racing. Was taken out at the hairpin by a wild @razor4797 and @Noremac meaning I had to capitalise on others mistakes to make up any ground which I did quite well to sit P5 at the end of Lap 3 for my stop, I'd saved a bit of fuel which brought me up to the back of Motors after the stops but didn't have the pace to challenge so kept it on the black stuff for the rest of the race to grab a very pleasing P5. Dominant display by @KeedenMcdonald as well as brilliant drives from @JonoStan96 and @Russell capped the podium

Took it easy at the start until going for a move on lap 1 I was escorted into the barrier, playing catch-up it took my entire first stint to get into the groove with little mistakes down to a lack of practice. Second stint was stuck in no mans land and with no tyres just ran around trying not to bin it to finish P7. I don’t think I’ll ever have a clean race at the ring. Wd Keeden, Jono and Russ on the podium

It was a fun race. I managed to keep clear of most the drama and grind my way in to the podium contest. I couldn't find the pace needed to hold off jono to hang onto 2nd. Still it was good fun and I am happy with 3rd. My best result this season.
    Well done Keeden

Decent start off the line, and had it up into about 6th on the GP circuit, until minor errors behind resulted in being tapped into the sand... not a large loss of time, so I tacked onto the back of the back heading to the ring.
Started passing cars making off-track excursions, until someone 'sent it' into my door and off I went.
Mostly uneventful after that, but @CaptainRisky21 made an error on the final lap early to give me something to chase.
Made a minor error on the ring and the gap grew to about 4+ secs, but at the final series of corners he binned it to hand me 9th

    Congrats podium!

Epic race, had a shocking start but managed to stay out of danger to move up through the field. Found myself challenging Russell for 3rd by the time we reached Bergwerk and I found it difficult to follow in the dirty air. Unfortunately Groover made an error and split us both, and I knew I needed to get by fast. Regretfully I tried to make a daring pass after seeing him go slow through Sprunghügel, but I hit a jump, and despite me slamming on the brakes to back out, my airbourne Beetle more or less smashing the drivers side window. I waited for Groover who unfortunately spun due to the collision.

At the back again, I managed to repass every car except Keeden before the chequered flag. It was anything but easy though. The Lap 1 incident meant I couldn’t make a 4 lap first stint work as I hadn’t saved enough fuel trying to catch up. This strategy was at least 6 seconds faster but I was unable to utilise it. Russell had amazing pace and I knew it would take my best to catch him. My final lap might have been my best ever lap of the Ring, I managed to catch his slipstream after Bergwerk which was critical for the final attack. The car felt terrible through the sweepers, but I’d done enough to remain within striking distance coming onto the Dottinger. The pass was a formality but crossing the line in 2nd after such an eventful race felt awesome. I hadn’t gone quicker than a 7:58 at all in the lead up, my final lap was a 7:53.

Looking forward to the retro enduro at Bathurst, can’t wait to see some old school liveries!

It was a epic drive from you and Keeden. You made a lot of sweet overtakes on demo1. You and Keeden passed all of us. I was watching the timing spilt on that last lap and just telling myself to keep it clean. Once you got within 2 secs I threw caution to the wind and gave it everything I had. It wasn't enough and was to little to late. You were definitely in the zone on that last lap. Great drive
