Nah seriously how’s a thread I was so looking forward to get destroyed in seconds, jesus christ it’s little wonder I almost threw it away, haven’t even gotten to round 1 and the toys have been thrown out the pram

Well the alfa goes near enough 90 minutes on a tank as a function of weighing less, having less drag and needing less power so the required stationary time is in the realm of 10-12 seconds shorter than a car that can't go an hour, say the Subaru.
The mustang, while it has been a great car will always be hindered by its brick aero meaning that it will have a weak top speed on most courses leading it to be easily overtaken in draft. The M6 was the same, so it being cut (especially with it's BoP problems) isn't actually a bad move for the series.

I spent the first race time attacking with Mint praying he didn't get within draft as I knew he'd pass me down the straight. Equal laptimes, unequal combat potential. I spent the 2nd one in no-man's land before briefly bullying a recovering Jono with absurd defensive lines as he didn't have the straight line to get by. Until he made the sweetest around the outside braking move that was just all class. But considering I was running 1/2 - 3/4 of a second a lap slower it just shouldn't have been that hard.

Just getting you prepared for car selection tomorrow. After that it'll be smooth sailing for 2020.
