Will place all driver briefings here for Season 10....
These will contact info on the following -
    - TRACK LIMITS and ALLOWABLE extensions (if any)
    - Pit regulations
    - Regulations regarding pit entry / exit and driver responsibility
    - General information that 'may' help those who dont have time to practice
    - Possible info on Weather slots and strategies for your race.

    The main 2 things are
    - TRACK LIMITS. You cannot run off track to gain advantage. If you do it consistently you will be penalised or disqualified. Our track limits are 2 wheels on the ripple strips. You can be 'almost' off track, but if you have 2 wheels on the ripple strips you will be ok.
    - CONTACT and REDRESSING. If you knock another driver off track, dont drive past them if you have caused the contact. Give the spot back, and then continue your race. the 2 most common mistakes in contact are rear end contact where you 'punt' someone off, or if you get in too hot, and make contact in the side as they take their normal line.
We try to use the Supercars example with contact and track limits, so if you have any issues with this, please contact the mod team via PM.

Our FULL race rules and regs

If you see i have missed anything, or need something cleared up, then reply to the weekly briefing.

Here we go again! Season 10..... time flies !
With over 70 drivers, and 5 divisions we hope you have a great season ..... For our regular drivers you all know how the season works..... Not much in these briefings will change, for our new drivers, please take 2 mins to read so you are clear on what to expect, and what to do if things go a little pear shaped !

The Corvette is a great car, HOWEVER, the weather slots do seem to make it tail happy as the track temp lowers and the tires wear more. Hopefully this brings in some strategy plays and some variability / surprises !

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    -
RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on those ripple strips or lines at all times.
    - Rubbins racing as they say, however we wont tolerate 'rough' driving. See below !
    -
Car resets : You are allowed to reset your car IF you are on your roof, or stuck on a barrier. You must reset when safe to do so. If you reset in the path of oncoming traffic and cause an accident, you will be penalised. Remember it will reset you to the middle of track, so oncoming cars cannot avoid you. Its tough watching cars drive past, but dont ruin someones night.

    - Room Disconnects : If you disconnect from the qual room, you may get back in OR the room captain / host may agree to restart the room if you cant get back in.
    - IF YOU DISCONNECT, AND CANT GET BACK IN FOR QUAL, YOU MUST START REAR OF GRID.

ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:45 EDST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.
    QUALIFYING : 8:10 EDST
RACE START TIME : 8:20 EDST

ROOM RESTARTS : Sometimes there are issues with the room and a new room may need to be started.
    - If a driver is DSC from Qual, they may get back into the qual room with no issue to set a time.
    - If they CANT get back in before race start, then the room host will restart the RACE room (no qual) and that driver MUST start from REAR OF GRID.
    - Will be a ROLLING START with formation lap based on Qual results from qual session from drivers who finished the qual session.
    - Fuel will have to be turned OFF
    - Formation lap is from RACE START, and cars will form up before TURN 1. When formed, cars will stay single file till last corner, where lead car will slow to 80KLMS, and hold the field till they go. (effectively safety car). Once the lead car accelerates , all other drivers can assume that the race has started.
    - No passing before start / finish line.

QUALIFYING - This season Pit Lane will be OPEN, so if you want to, you can take fresh tyres.
You can even come in and take softs if you want.

RACE START - IF you receive a FALSE START DRIVE THROUGH PENALTY (IE jump the start), you MUST serve that penalty before the END OF LAP 3. If you dont serve your drive through before the start of lap 4, there will be 30 seconds added to your race time.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Round 1 is generally the most common where we see contact issues, particularly if we have drivers who haven't done a lot of practice. If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. Giving room on both sides till you get through the turn 1, 2 and 3,4 complex will see everyone get through without their night being ruined. Take extra effort to not ruin someones night in the first race of the season ;)

TRACK LIMITS : Track limits will remain as they always have, you must have 2 wheels ON or INSIDE the ripple strips at all times. Make a mistake or 2 and that's OK, but making CLEAR advantage from cutting the track will see you penalised. If you do it consistently, you may even be DSQ from the race.
This track self regulates pretty well, isnt really anywhere to cut, and running wide costs time.
We all know the rules, so drivers are asked to watch for drivers who may be gaining advantage.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
Main spots are the brake zone into turn 1, and the bigger braking zones at turns 5, 8 and 12.

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.
    - Up to you if you want to take tyres. If you need a hand to set up your pit strat please let us or your team mates know so we can sort you out.
    - you WONT NEED FUEL !
If you havent done pit stops before :
    - Make sure you know where the pit entry line is. you must be at 60KLM at the line or you get penalised.
    - Make sure you have you pit controller activated. Is the guy with a big red board only you can see in YOUR pitbay
    - You can adjust the following
    - Brake bias (on the fly with mapped buttons)
    - ABS
    - Traction Control
    - Tire pressures for tyres IF you change them at your stop.

CAR SET UP : There are 2 options for car sets up that people can make.
'LOOSE' or 'STABLE'. It is up to you what setting you use, and it may vary based on the track being used. I would recommend trying both to see what gives the best lap times.
    - For me, the STABLE setting seems the best one !

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : We will be running with Pit penalties ON, so will need to make an attempt to enter and exit using the pit lane lines. We have seen people hit with warnings in game, so be aware of staying in the lane. The pit entry here is pretty straight forward, so should be no issues...
DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT 60KLMS AT THE PIT ENTRY LINE OR YOU WILL GET DSQ FROM THE RACE IF YOU GO IN TOO HOT.
    - IF SOMEONE IS CAUGHT MISSING THE LANE, THEN GOING INTO THE PITS AND GAINING AN ADVANTAGE YOU WILL BE PENALISED.

PIT EXIT - Is a reasonable run into Turn 1, so you need to make sure you stay right untill up to race speed.
Drivers on a race-lap will have right of way, UNTIL the turn in for turn 1. Then the car IN FRONT has the right to run their line.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : The stewards group will again consist of Myself, Ad2mny and Gary... if you feel the need to protest, you need to make us aware by PM before midnight Monday following the race. You will also need to have Video evidence of your protest, or ask the room host to have a look on their replay. You may appeal any stewards decision, and the final decision will be made by Koastr. If there is an issue in the race
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE ROOM OR ON THE FORUM.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved !

Any question re the above just shoot... We assume that everyone reads this, so no excuses for not knowing the rules and procedures.

Ok all, well done to everyone last week, hopefully we can get fuller grids for round 2 this week. Seemed that the heavy rain and storms created network instability, and fingers crossed it has settled for Sunday.
The main things for round 2, adding to our regular briefing, are track specific.... So make sure you are up on things that may affect your race !
    1. PIT ENTRY IS VERY TIGHT !
    2. THIS PIT LANE DOES HAVE A TENDENCY TO HOLD DRIVERS UP MORE THAN OTHERS !
    3. MAKE SURE YOU PIT IN AT THE END OF QUAL SO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR PIT BAY IS !
    4. DRIVERS WHO HAVE THE FIRST PIT BAY ARE A CHANCE OF MISSING IT IF YOU DONT KNOW ITS THERE !
    5. PIT EXIT MUST BE USED, DRIVERS WHO GO STRAIGHT TO TRACK (SHORTCUT) WILL RECEIVE 20 SEC PENALTY...

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    -
RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on those ripple strips or lines at all times.

    QUALIFYING : 8:10 EDST

ROOM RESTARTS : Sometimes there are issues with the room and a new room may need to be started.
    - If a driver is DSC from Qual, they may get back into the qual room with no issue to set a time.
    - If they CANT get back in before race start, then the room host will restart the RACE room (no qual) and that driver MUST start from REAR OF GRID.
    - Will be a ROLLING START with formation lap based on Qual results from qual session from drivers who finished the qual session.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : This is an "interesting" first lap, and its not been uncommon for there to be pile ups on the entry into turn 1 with the way the track curves to the left. ON LAP 1 DRIVERS MAY STAY FURTHER LEFT (PAST CONES ON LEFT) AS THEY GO PAST THE PIT LANE IF YOU ARE AVOIDING CONTACT.

Main spots are the brake zone into turn 1, THE BRAKE ZONE FOR THE CORKSCREW, and the final turn.

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.
    - Up to you if you want to take tyres. If you need a hand to set up your pit strat please let us or your team mates know so we can sort you out.
    - you WONT NEED FUEL !

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : We will be running with Pit penalties ON, so will need to make an attempt to enter and exit using the pit lane lines. We have seen people hit with warnings in game, so be aware of staying in the lane.
    - The pit entry here is VERY TIGHT.... Make sure you know which bay you are in, its easy to drive past your bay if you are first....If you do a prac run at end of qual, will be easier to know where your bay is.
    - DRIVERS WHO MAKE CONTACT ON PIT ENTRY CAUSING THEM TO SPIN OR 'GET STUCK' COULD BE PENALISED.

    PIT EXIT
    - Drivers MUST use the full pit exit lane. Any driver caught going right onto the pit straight WILL be penalised 20 seconds.

    - Drivers should stay left on exit to the run up to turn 4. If there are drivers around you, it should be easy to blend back into the pack

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

OK all, sorry for the late briefing..... Been one of those weeks !

    ISSUES FROM LAST WEEK.
    - ALL MICS ARE TO BE OFF DURING THE RACE AND UNTIL THE LAST DRIVER HAS CROSSED THE LINE.
    - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ROOM TO SAVE YOUR REPLAYS. THE SPRINT ROUND ALWAYS CREATES SOME CLOSE RACING, AND WITH ADDED RAIN, YOU WILL NEED YOUR REPLAY IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO PROTEST.

SPRINT ROUND ! For our new drivers make sure you read below about how the 2 races work..... Qual and race 1 are as normal. RACE 2, reverse grid with details lined out in regs below.
    -
THE FIRST 2 LAPS OF RACE 1 WILL BE CRITICAL FOR YOUR TYRES. IF YOU HAVE A SPIN IT TAKES 2 LAPS FOR YOUR TYRES TO GET GRIP BACK....IF YOU ARE SUPER AGGRESSIVE AFTER A SPIN THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE YOU WILL KEEP SPINNING !

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.

    - RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on those ripple strips or lines at all times.
    - Rubbins racing as they say, however we wont tolerate 'rough' driving. See below !

QUALIFYING - The fastest laps will be set on your FIRST FLYING lap as soon as qualifying starts. Once you have set your fastest lap please be aware of other drivers still on track. By lap 3, the track is a lot wetter, but you will still need to get out of the way of other drivers who may be trying to improve their time.

RACE 1 : Drivers will start the race as normal, in their qualifying position.
RACE 2 : Drivers will start the race SLOWLY and STOP by turn 2 and set up in reverse order from race 1. IF YOU JUMP START RACE 2 the race WILL NOT be restarted. You will have to serve your drive through penalty as normal. Once in order, the lead driver will lead the pack at approx 100KPH, with race pace starting on the exit of turn 13. NO PASSING BEFORE THE START FINISH LINE.
POINTS ALLOCATION : Full points for race 1, HALF points for race 2. Combined points will determine overall positions, pending any protests / penalties.
DSC : If a driver DSC from race 1, they CAN return for race 2, but MUST start rear of grid.

RACE START - IF you receive a FALSE START DRIVE THROUGH PENALTY (IE jump the start), you MUST serve that penalty before the END OF LAP 3. If you dont serve your drive through before the start of lap 4, there will be 30 seconds added to your race time.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : With the rain in race 1, is a very real risk of chaos in turn 1 and 2. If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. Giving room on both sides till you get through the turn 1, 2 and 3,4 complex will see everyone get through without their night being ruined.

This track could see track limits exceeded at
    - turns 5 and 6 (chicane onto back straight) You can run over the curbs, but must have wheels on ripple strips on way through
    - Turn 9, the right hander heading up to the banking.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.

Main spots are the brake zone into turn 1, AND turn 7 at the end of the back straight

COMPULSORY PIT STOP : NOT REQUIRED

CAR SET UP : There are 2 options for car sets up that people can make.

'LOOSE' or 'STABLE'. It is up to you what setting you use, and it may vary based on the track being used. I would recommend trying both to see what gives the best lap times.
    - For me, the STABLE setting seems the best one !

    PIT ENTRY / EXIT : N/A

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE ROOM OR ON THE FORUM.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved !

Ok Guys and Gals.... Onto Spa....Awesome track in this car
Things from last round that need to be addressed....
    - We are close to sorting the protests...Sorry for delay but with 6 protests and real life, it doesnt happen quickly !
    - Drivers who continue to use their mic DURING the race WILL BE PENALISED. Turn them off, or jump into a private chat with yourself if you need to. NO MORE WARNINGS ! Also remember to wait till all are finished before turning back on.
    - If you spin off track, Regardless of how it happens, ALL DRIVERS have the responsibility to return to the track in a safe manner, NOT IMPACTING other drivers.
    - SAVE YOUR REPLAY. Remember, you will need to delete old replays so you have room. If there is an issue you need to protest, it makes it pretty tough if you dont have any evidence to back it up other than other drivers replays.

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    -
RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on those ripple strips or lines at all times.

Its tough watching cars drive past, but don't ruin someones night.

If you don't serve your drive through before the start of lap 4, there will be 30 seconds added to your race time.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. Get through Turn 1 and then EuRouge and we will see everyone get through without their night being ruined. Take extra effort to not ruin someones night in the first lap of the race.

-Eau Rouge : you can run the ripple strip (left side) on entry, but must NOT miss the race track to the right up to the top of the hill. Drivers 'cutting' here continually WILL BE PENALISED.
    - Pouhon and Turn 18 : drivers must NOT run continually wide on exit.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
Main spots are the brake zone into turn 1, Turn 7 (dont belt anyone through the chicane) Turn 18 (the last chicane)

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.
    - BE CAREFUL ENTERING PIT LANE. If you spin you can get stuck in the lane between the barriers
    - Make sure you have your pit controller activated.

The pit entry here is pretty tight, so stay right on the exit of the last chicane so drivers cant block your entry....

PIT EXIT - Is a reasonable run into Eau Rogue, so you need to make sure you stay right until up to race speed.
Drivers on a race-lap will have right of way, if they are along the left side of the car exiting the pis.

OK all.....Now that we are all home bound and trying to avoid the plague, get set for this weeks race at Bathurst !

ROOM CAPTAINS - we will do a roll call before qual to see how many we have and if we can or need to merge divs.... IF we merge divisions, qual will go ahead as normal (with merged divs), but drivers will receive points for their DIVISION finishing position.

As stated before last round - a Reminder.....

    - RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on those ripple strips or lines at all times.
    - Rubbins racing as they say, however we wont tolerate 'rough' driving. See below !
    - Car resets : You are allowed to reset your car IF you are on your roof, or stuck on a barrier. You must reset when safe to do so. If you reset in the path of oncoming traffic and cause an accident, you will be penalised. Remember it will reset you to the middle of track, so oncoming cars cannot avoid you. Its tough watching cars drive past, but don't ruin someones night.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. The run up to turn 2 can cause chaos, dont be the bloke who swerves to defend and causes an accident.

    - The only place here that you can cut to gain advantage is straight lining from SKYLINE to the dipper. Dont make a habit of it.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.

Main spots are the brake zone into turn 1, Turn 2 the chase and then Murrays Corner. This track is pretty much single file from the cutting, right through to forest elbow..... Please don't give us multiple protests !

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.

    - BE CAREFUL ENTERING PIT LANE.
    - Up to you if you want to take tyres. If you need a hand to set up your pit strat please let us or your team mates know so we can sort you out.

PIT EXIT - Is a reasonable run into Turn 2, so you need to make sure you stay left until up to race speed.
Drivers on a race-lap will have right of way, if they are along the right side of the car exiting the pits.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

Ok all, Just 2 rounds to go till another season done and dusted.... Some points from last round
    - BlueXR8 penalised for contact last round. Details in stewards thread
    - Was some questions on Bathurst qual pace from a few drivers based on sector splits. Those drivers have been noted and will be watched in qual for any anomalies. (given we cant save qual replays)
    - Car resets should only happen if you are stuck on your roof, or stuck on a barrier
    - Drivers need to make safer entry to the track after crashing / running off.

ROOM CAPTAINS - we will do a roll call before qual to see how many we have and if we can or need to merge divs.... IF we merge divisions, qual will go ahead as normal (with merged divs), but drivers will receive points for their DIVISION finishing position.

Well, hopefully everyone is well and managing to get through ok.... Cant believe how different things are between the start of the season and now...... Lets take our mind of things for a while and do some racing !!!
The enduro is a tough race.... At this stage i have done zero practice so any advice in regards to strategy etc is probably best through your team chats...... We havent run this track, mainly for track limits so PLEASE stay within the bounds of what our track limit rules are.
I havent been around at all this week, but some things that will be relevant to this round and need to be on top of
    - FUEL : you will need to add fuel i believe... I hope to get on tonight and work out whats needed. If anyone has a heads up on that feel free to share !
    - REMEMBER THE x16 time progression.... it means there will be a night time run.... KNOW WHERE YOUR LIGHT SWITCH IS !
    - We will check numbers again before qual and see if we can merge divs if needed.
    - OBVIOUSLY there are lots of spots here that can be short cut .... I would ask for everyone to not make a habit of it.... I am asking room captains to make a call if someone needs to be investigated or penalised regardless if there is a protest from someone.

ROOM CAPTAINS - we will do a roll call before qual to see how many we have and if we can or need to merge divs.... IF we merge divisions, qual will go ahead as normal (with merged divs), but drivers will receive points for their DIVISION finishing position.

    - There are lots of chicanes here that can be short cut. I will be asking room captains to make us aware of anyone cutting, and those drivers may be penalised without a protest from someone.
    - TURNS 2-3-7-8 and then the final turns 18-19-20-21 please stay on the curbs.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.

    - BE CAREFUL ENTERING PIT LANE.
    - Up to you if you want to take tyres. If you need a hand to set up your pit strat please let us or your team mates know so we can sort you out.
    - you
    WILL NEED FUEL !
If you havent done pit stops before :

    - Make sure you know where the pit entry line is. you must be at 60KLM at the line or you get penalised.
    - Make sure you have your pit controller activated.

The pit entry here is complicated, make sure you do it a few times so you know how it works !

PIT EXIT - Is a reasonable run into Turn 2, so you need to make sure you stay right until up to race speed.
Drivers on a race-lap will have right of way, if they are along the left side of the car exiting the pits.
