There have only been yes replies for an early and no against. I think we will aim for the early start at this point unless some one wakes up at the last minute.
so if @Mightymurph51 went to the gp from his home in nz... and now nz'ers can't get home, does it mean he will miss the final 2 rounds... possibly costing him the championship?
We can get home. We just have to self isolate for 14 days if you arrive after midnight tonight. So if anything we should be more worried as he’ll have a whole week to practice.
Unfortunately I probably won’t be able to make tonight’s race due to family matters. Oh well, another track that I enjoy. Till next week.
If we only got 5 can we merge with div 3?? I’ve done no practice and will be a good 2-3s off div 2 pace so will be good to hopefully see another car for 90 mins.
We had four different leaders in the race, @fubbles888 led most of the first 24 laps except for a little while where @Ian Cannan took the lead after a very hectic battle. I led from lap 24 to when I pitted last lap to put on the hard tyres. @Op_magic3 passed me as I left the pits on the last lap but then spun just after the first timing marker and I then led to the end. @Op_magic3 should have won it and his final charge home was very tense for me, he was flying on RS tyres and I was on RM. My lead went from near 8 seconds to about 3.5 with a lap to go and I still had to pit. If he hadn't spun he would have won it easily after having some dramas early in the race I think. My strategy paid off as I started 5th and had the slowest FL of all. @Op_magic3 was a second and a half quicker.
Third is a good result but losing 10 points to @emmo46 is not I lost too much time on the hard tyre, once again. Did I learn nothing from Autopolis? If we do have another race like this one, I will only use the tyre for one lap to minimise the time loss. It’s not worth the trouble. Still, I survived the distance, which is a positive.
