No, the racing license would have been off for a lot of the online races I’ve done in the past. They’ve still counted as completed races but that may be the issue, didn’t know that was a factor.
just keep an eye on the forum most people will post that they are not available for the weekends race so hopefully they do this and you will get a race. Also be on line if you can from about 7.30 Sunday nights so if people don't turn up you can get a invite.
Hey guys, hope last night gave you all some good racing.... Remember that different tracks suit the different cars so if last night you struggled, there are tracks ahead that will suit your car. if you have any replays post them up, ill be happy to throw them up on the facebook feed to promote and create interest. Just wanted to nail a few things while last nights race is fresh in everyone's head... Been a common theme in the div chats of contact between drivers. We want big grids, because that's where you get great 'racing'. - Lap 1, big grid, just be careful and give room ! The most common thing we see are guys in the mid pack rear ending into the front runners, and that creates issues ..... If you are following someone and cant make a pass, brake a little earlier until you can get a run on them. Be patient ! - For lap 1, give room and stay in your 'lane' until the grid shakes out. In the start pack you just cant run a normal race line when you are 2 or 3 wide . - Make sure you have your spotter and proximity indicators on. - When returning to the track after an 'off' make sure the track is clear ! All pretty simple stuff that is normal racing etiquette... Most importantly, show respect to the drivers in your league. We are all here for the same thing. On to round 2....
driver briefing up for round 2 guys is a couple of things of note re headlight use, replays and track limits. Please take 2 minutes to read. http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/season-11-driver-briefings.4068/
guys, Just further to the driver briefing.... generic message to all divs. - SWERVING - Fuji has been notorious for swerving on the straights, causing issues. A reminder, you can change your line once, but swerving on the straight to prevent the car behind from passing is not allowed. - PIT ENTRY - The pit entry at 4:38 is not allowed, drivers should be attempting to stay within track limits. The painted area is considered OFF TRACK - the entry at 9:30 is almost right ! - Entry at 13:08 is perfect ! - Drivers who are found taking a straight line entry into the pits, with no reason to be on the paint, will receive a 5 second penalty added to their race time. HEADLIGHTS - A reminder that 'FLASHING" of lights to try distract the driver in front is not allowed. Thanks
Not sure if I'm on any driver lists for today's race, I can't find it anywhere, but if so, I can't make it anyway. Good luck to all.
Hi all, Thanks for the race last night. Was out of my depth last week in Div 4, and while I was still towards the back of the field it was great running with you all after a few false starts. Looking forward to next weekend... but with slight trepidation at the prospect of leading the field into the turn 1 chicane in race 2.
Driver briefing is up guys for the Monza Sprint http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/season-11-driver-briefings.4068/ For our new drivers, really important you read and understand how the reverse grid second race works. Anything i have missed, or any questions, just shoot.. Stu
Hi Andy, you will get a drive in the Div 5 room this week with Thorto out of the season and Estonski out for this round
Appologies Rocky in R1 - was taken out going into the first corner and lost control which resulted in taken a few others out in turn 2. Colin - lap 2 race 1 - I had no where else to go mate going into turn 1/2 - was on the edge of the track. Was just a crap night. See you next week.
