@Jimmygrimble69 apologies for the mess on lap 2 race 2 at the first chicane. I clipped you as I barrelled through on my attempt to miss everyone. Looking at the reply though you got collected from behind as well. Someone had taken out the right-side 150m board and I had mistaken the 100m board for the 150m and completely ballsed up braking. I got reset and let everyone past me but didn't see you'd been pushed off track.

Not sure what others thought, but actually didn't mind this race. Still had some pretty close action in div 2.
Not a fan of RH tires.

G29 issues struck again tonight. (Down shift paddle not responding) Pulled out of the 1st race & had a quick go of fixing before entering the 2nd & managing to finish with the issue Semi rectified (it was now downshifting 2 gears at a time which was painful but adaptable) only to have it jam up again at the start of race 3. Sorry to @VARDZ for the punt on the 1st lap mate. Brakes alone while stuck in 6th gear weren’t enough I’m afraid!:(

RMs & RSs work with this car, pitty I didn’t really enjoy any of the races all that much tbh, due to issues, but enjoyed driving it while doing a bit of testing during the week. MX5 more fun though imo.

I enjoyed it, was closer to the pace on RS tyres. Prefer the Mazda so far.

Thoroughly enjoyed the racing tonight, much more than I expected. Initially the DBR9 understeer was a huge slap in the face but was quite manageable. Had some epic battles with @CaptainRisky21 which should make for some more great commentary lol.

More about the car, the starts are phenomenal, not an easy car to get off the grid but very rewarding, It sounds incredible and dirty air is less than most other Gr3 cars thanks to less downforce. I have a sad feeling Monza was manufacturing a lot of that racing for us but a great display none the less. RM my preffered tire, Left you with enough grip to send the thing but still punished you for any poor throttle management.

I have the same issue. Gave up trying to fix it and have just mapped another button for downshifts.

Did you use photoshop on the race 2 results @emmo? I certainly don't remember winning

Apart from bleeding ears from some issues in the first race it was an alright night. I didn't mind the car personally, felt quick and once you got into a groove it was quite a consistent car - unsure what it would be like with tyre wear on though... Wasn't able to quite show off my practice due to some knocks and bumps that happens at Monza lol. Agree the Mediums gave it a bit of spice - though I didn't mind any of the tyre wear options.

Cheers Div2 crew - catch you next week, maybe lol

Yep, RM was my preferred tyre too. It cured the understeer and gave you enough confidence to battle hard. @Slartybar and I had a great place swapping battle in the RM race over the last 4 laps. I was over confident on the RS and it cost me. The slipstream gain is insane though, you'd to be really careful behind someone.

Monza is a unique track, I'm not sure if its the best for testing a car. The slip stream can provide some great battles as it can stop the lead car pulling away even though they could be faster
I liked the RS as it was easier to brake for the chicanes and not lock up or over cook it. There were a few bumps that ruined races for people just from late braking and misjudgement, but that's Monza. On another track the RH could be fun.
