Ahhh that sounded too good to be true. No worries, ive saved all the images & will get stuck into it!
Welcome all to Season 12! Each week there will be a briefing for that Sunday's race, and it is important you read it and understand it. This Sunday is the Meet n Greet (MnG), which we use mainly to test the connections and compatibility of/between all drivers in each division. The night begins with a 5 min qualifying session and follow that up with short races on each season track using the 'fastest first based on previous race results' option. It would also help to have 2-3 room captains per division checking settings prior to every qualifying session throughout the season, so if you have been around for a few seasons, and could help with the room organisation, please post in your division thread so I can add you to those OP's Finally, I would like to ask that everyone keep things clean. If you want to have a muck around, probably best to make your own room as it won't be welcome in the meet n greet rooms. Could anyone else put their hand up for room captain to assist aza?
If want hat I can be captain for div 5 let me know why is needed just don’t want to host as my net sucks balls on a good day
Hey all, @Peersy was kind enough to share the replays from last night so as I had a bit of time & also competing against a lot of the guys last season i thought i would watch them, but something caught my eye at the Sardegna race. Lap 1 the two lead cars were side by side at T3, the inside car may of understeered and tapped the outside car a bit wide. As the road straighten the inside car came across, and maybe due to a lack of awareness, squeezed the outside car into the wall causing him to lose momentum but no positions. However the drive who had been squeezed then decided to line up the offender and punt into the sand and wall going into T4. Now in a real race perhaps the first driver would be more aware & the 2nd driver wouldn't overreact in such a way but this is not how you handle things. It was practice, yes overall no real harm was done but there is other ways to address the first incident - such as a gentle reminder to use the radar on the MFD if they are not using it already. Remember there is new people here and obviously this was a chance to get to know each others driving style, so I hope we don't see an incident/reaction like that again.
Thanks @Kieran_B33. I'm pretty sure I was behind the incident but only caught the resultant punt but it was very distinct. Not really what our group is all about... *** Please, let's race and have fun. Don't make things difficult four each other ***
Definitely isn't about those kind of actions at all in my opinion. I had a look and was quite disappointed to see what happened there. It's a MnG - getting to know each other, the first few corners in a short race that had no bearing on the season. Regardless of that fact, if that was to happen in a league race.... There's been times when we have all felt like we have been done dirty in a race, you just gotta carry on with as cool of a head as you can, and carry on - put the protest in later. Because what may seem like an intentional punt or move may have been the result of someone else pushing that person, or a slight touch on grass which GT makes you feel like your driving on oil, and braking just doesn't work any more.
