Round 3 Rebel Cup Stewards Report:
    Stewards: @THE_UNDER_STUDY , @T F Eccles , @UrsineSaturn9 , @Xtr3meNZer

    Protest 1:
    Incident:
Impeding during qualifying (incident 0:12 to 0:22 in vid)
    Drivers involved: @Hatfield , @Apex_64 , @xlxy90

    Decision: Warning
    Notes:
No intent on the part of Xl. Stewards agree with Xl's explanation re visibility in that section of track. Did try to remove himself from racing line, albeit a bit late.

    Protest 2:
    Incident:
Non redressed contact (incident 0:23 onwards in vid)
    Drivers involved: @Hatfield , @blackArmour34

    Decision: 1pt penalty to blackArmour34
    Notes:
Rear contact made (unintentional), putting Hatfield slightly deep into the corner and a poor exit. Pass made on the subsequent corner entry. Advantage gained from unintentional contact. Time loss/gain only minimal.

Round 3 Rebel Cup Series points now available to view.
    Notes:
Sprint rounds have the 2 races combined to award round winner as well as sorting points allocation.

Hello SPCC organisers. I know in Rebel Cup each driver must only use 1 car a maximum of 3 times throughout the competition. Is this the same in the Contenders Cup? As I was a late call up I hadn't wrapped my head around the requirements for Contenders Cup, but now I've read the info I'm not sure. Confirmation either way would be appreciated.
    Cheers team.

    Hey mate,
Contender Cup is different. As it is only teams based, there is no limitations on cars. You can technically use one car for the entire series if you like.
    Cheers.

Qualified up the pointy end in race 1 and our team seemed to be the only ones starting on softs which put us out of sequence with the field.
I made my way into the lead and set about creating the gap I would need when switching to mediums.
In the end it was enough to cross the line 1st!
Qualifying for race 2 I binned my lap and only managed to get one in at the death which put me 10th so I had my work cut out for me.
    2 close calls with @GasMonkee78 & @Viperzed and I came home 4th behind the 3 car form finish of @CaptainRisky21 @razor4797 & @xlxy90 well done guys

Almost had a repeat of last week in quali with @Hatfield, he caught me at the same time in the same spot, but instead i decided to send myself at the wall on the outside of the track :ninja:

Great fun last night. That track, despite it being quite basic, really throws up some good racing. It was clear from last week’s Rebel Cup that the Scirocco was the clear favourite. I was lucky enough that my team put faith in me to drive it to it’s potential, and I think I did a decent job. Great to see @xlxy90 dicing it with the front runners in the Atenza. @Hatfield’s drive in Race 1 was very very commendable, as was @CaptainRisky21 in Race 2.

Not sure how the points scoring works, but I assume if it is combined points that Risky will take the round win with a 3rd and a 1st place finish, with myself second with 2nd and 3rd and Hatfield third with 1st and 4th (if my quick maths in my head are correct).

Cheers guys, will see you in the New Year!

Also here’s my onboard from last night including qualifying lap, if anyone is interested

    risky 3rd (26) + 1st (32) = 58
    razor 2nd (28) + 3rd (26) = 54
    hat 1st (32) + 4th (22) = 54
*But my best result was higher than yours which is normally how sprint round ties are split (and honestly if we are 1 position apart in both races, the driver with a win should place higher, don't you think? :p )

@SOMEONE1_AWESOME this is the championship you were asking about. The series you would be in would be the "Rebel Cup" which is an individual based championship (though there are a couple of teams, that doesn't affect the championship).

There's a bit of regs and such involved, and if you have any questions at all, feel free to flick me a message mate.

    @Hatfield @razor4797
    The points go
    1st 32
    2nd 28
    3rd 25
    4th 22
    5th 19
    6th 17
    so it would be
    risky 3rd (25) + 1st (32) = 57
    hat 1st (32) + 4th (22) = 54
    razor 2nd (28) + 3rd (25) = 53
