Driving the Ferrari 488 GT3 in Assetto Corsa is easier than driving the Ferrari 458 GT3 in this game. Car doesn't act up when you boot it through a corner, it actually rotates faster. The understeer occurs on corner entry instead of exit, and that's how it should be for the most part. Anyway I did a race run last night to understand how the car behaves through each stint. First one will be the hardest with the full fuel load, so if I get through that OK I should be alright for the rest of the race. The car will get better as the race progresses, and I got within 0.1 seconds of my qualifying time at one point during the run. I was quite happy with it. I knew I was going to be climbing an upward slope with the Ferrari, but I've gained enough confidence to at least tolerate it.

I don't know how I got the time I did on Wednesday. I just did some practice with an extra 2% less weight and I couldn't break 1:29. I had to stop before I started smashing things.
@Slartybar call out to you as well in case Pat is unavailable, 650S GT3 may be available for 2 hours of Red Bull Ring.
Stop trying to over drive the car, you won't get as angry and you'll find a rhythm that will help you go faster and be consistent.
The reason I end up driving too hard is when I can't find decent pace. At the moment I'm not even sure what I'm doing wrong. I know I need to improve, but I don't know if it's my equipment that's costing me time, I also don't know if I'm braking correctly. Do I need to push the brake pedal through the floor, or do I apply less pressure? I'm also wondering if the steering is set properly. I'll turn the wheel 1 quarter turn and the car will be at full lock. I don't expect to be up with the top guys, but I do expect to be faster than I am. I just wished I knew what to do to improve things.
Razor has elected to start drivers left. The start will be a double file manual rolling start. Off the standard rolling start we are to hold position until the straight before the penultimate corner when we will then form up double file. Razor will maintain a speed of his choosing until he goes between the end of the kerb drivers left out of the final corner and the light gantry, signalling race start. Demo 1 has unfortunately had to pull out due to family reasons. We are projected to start at 8:15pm but please everyone be on at 8pm latest!
Sorry, cant go longer. The lighter you make this thing thw worse it is. You remove weight and I go slower.
I don’t even know where to start. I don’t even know how I managed to do this. So happy with myself. Congratulations to everyone else. Really enjoyed it
Congratulations @Noodles87 There were many position changes throughout the race from what I could see from the back. I spun out on the first lap, that horrible T2 is a delicate one in the Ferrari. Gutted as I jumped a couple of positions. Continued to learn the car and track but I still struggled. Spun out another 5 times lol and hit the wall at least twice. Oh well, happy with a P10 finish
