Yep. Happened again. At this point I don't know what else to do. I might take a gander at some port forwarding. But failing that I don't know what's left to do and unsure if I can/want to commit to the remaining races yet. It's fun right up until it's extremely disappointing..
Had a decent quali, could have been better. Absolutely appalling start to the race. I was a initially put off by the blue flags warning on screen going into T1. Anyone else get this??? And then was just flustered into T2 because of the previous turn and ate dirt. The rest of my race was just making a few positions back and then every 5th lap or so pushing too much and going wide costing an overall loss. And thus the cycle repeated. I think I got 3rd place back down to about 11secs by the time I DSC. Though would not have made it up in the remaining laps (and with undoubtedly more mistakes). Overall could not find consistency here in the push to make up for the mistakes. Top 3 looked like they were bunched up the entire race! Goos stuff guys.

Thanks to all for coming along as always, you make the Host job easy.
Was always going to be a wild ride.
Close times on a tight track.
The mistakes or lap time consistency was going to make or break here.
RS to L25 Made pit on 0 fuel, RM and fuel to end.
    Great racing with all.

Well ... quali and the race went better than I personally expected!
The start was fairly good and managed to hold 2nd into turns 1 & 2, then as @CobberSupreme has mentioned, he went out a little wide just after turn 3 which gifted me the lead. Then came the realisation of "don't fcuk this up Hoges, look forward not to the rear as I so often do!" .... anyway, managed to hold the lead until I pitted knowing full well, @Steve Neilson always manages to get the best out of tyres & fuel and so would most like have the advantage, same with @Dash_Vanguard doing the extra lap on softs, (replay confirms our differences in tyre wear!).
The run on mediums also went better than expected and once all had pitted I started to gain a little on Dash and also the Goof came back into the pack towards the last few laps of the race. Those last laps racing Dash were very cool and no matter what I tried, or no matter the minor mistakes he made, I could not get passed him, great racing and really enjoyed it. Congrats to Goof for the win, Dash for the 2nd and very happy to be 3rd, in fact congrats to all not an easy track!
As Goof has also mentioned, really great bunch in Div 3 for sure and sorry to see Cobber have yet another DSC but again get pole and the fastest lap before the DSC. Replay also shows some great racing throughout the field.
See you all at the sprint round, cheers Hoges

Attention everyone: the Alfa Romeo 155 DTM is available in the LCD right now for 800,000cr. Can everybody make an effort to purchase it as it is reguarly suggested to be used as a season car.

    Round 6: 26/11 - Sardegna - Road Track - A - 3x 10 Laps - Preset - Equal Conditions - S01 - Late Morning
    [IMG]
WELCOME to Season 7 for Gran Turismo 7!!
As always please take a couple minutes to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night.
If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

    ROOM OPEN:
Room captains may have practice rooms open beforehand but should have the official room up by 7:30pm AEDT. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread know if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.

    SIGHT ISSUES:
Before qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again. Type the number of cars you can see in the lobby chat and cross check with other drivers to ensure clarity.

    QUALIFYING : 8pm AEDT for 10 mins.
Feel free to run practice laps prior to qualifying, The host will trigger a 'Room Reset' closer to the commencement of Qualifying.

    PITS ARE OPEN DURING QUALIFYING

RACE START TIME : 8:15pm AEDT

    LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS:
This is up to the room host/captains. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I would suggest only having 1 restart if required due to DSC, due to having to set up the room from scratch and also having to set timed laps in order to set the grid. Please be as reasonable as you can with this....

    TURN 1 LAP 1:
The old saying goes, you can’t win the race on lap 1, but you can definitely lose it. Please be mindful of other drivers on lap 1 coming into turn 1, and for that matter, the entire race. It can be very demoralizing to hot lap on your own for 45 minutes as I'm sure many of you are aware.

    TRACK LIMITS:
As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage, position or time wise. Track Limits protests may be launched by any active driver in the race.

Track Limits will be monitored generally around the entire circuit. Track limits will be defined as two wheels on the red and white kerb, or white line, whichever is further out.

    CONTACT:
Is to be avoided at all times..... If you make contact with someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Occasionally, Gran Turismo track limits may teleport a disadvantaged driver backwards on circuit to ‘reset’ them, if this occurs at the hand of another driver, IT IS EXPECTED that the driver at fault will wait and redress the position.
Side by side 'rubbing' is racing is allowed and promoted within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room. For clarity surrounding racing room, please feel free to PM @Viperzed
Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass.
So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers.
If you are redressing contact, please do so out of the way of other cars, off the racing line, or if there isn't much room, off track.

    PIT ENTRY/EXIT LINES:
Pit Line Penalties are ON so you will be penalised in game if you cut any part of the entry or exit lines. Be mindful entering the pits that you will need to commit to coming in not long after the final corner. You may receive a penalty for misjudging your line on entry. Be mindful not to impede other cars on your way in. On pit exit, cars exiting the lane are reminded to keep drivers right if there are any cars approaching, you will have to give them space.

    BLUE FLAGS:
Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

    STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS:
This season, the Head Steward will be @Viperzed. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let him know via a PM.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. Stewards may ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captains to make any decision.

    SAVE YOUR REPLAY:
If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved!

    PARKING UP:
If you are unable to continue to race, please enter the pits and leave your game paused without selecting tyres so that your car stays parked in the pits. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occurring for passes happening near the parked car. Quitting off track results in a sometimes race ending lag spike and may be punished in extreme scenarios.

    ATTENDANCE:
Could all drivers please inform Room Captains or make a post on the division thread if they do not intend on racing on Sunday night, Room Captains/ Lobby Hosts are advised not to wait for anyone who has not communicated their intentions. If you do not post in your room thread or psn chat that you cannot attend, a spot may not be held for you for the following weeks race.

    TRACK SPECIFIC - Sardegna A
Another modern classic, GT provided us with Sardegna in GT Sport and we never looked back. A circuit with plenty of passing opportunities, a very suiting place for our revamped sprint race format. This Sunday's races will feature a 10 min quali, and two reverse grid races. Be mindful that the armco is narrower than you might first expect, and best to give respect to cars around you, as you may find yourself dicing regularly on Sunday.

I'm expecting a decent turn out once again this weekend now that we've passed the Enduro and the Cricket World Cup.

Please as well if the room captains from Div 1 and 1B, as well as Div 2 and 3 can be in contact so that room merges can be on the cards.

As always room will be up at 7.30pm.
Lets keep it clean and smart for T1, 4, and 5.
Especially when the reverse grid happens.
Time for the speedy boys to shine, no fuel or tyres to be conserved here.
I have set room to be RS only so no mistakes will be made on tyre choice and no one will be disadvantaged.
    Good luck, see you there.

Sorry guys. Won't be able to make it tonight. Busted my rig's seat and just can't sit at it comfortably, so no good for my existing back issues. Have a great race!

Thanks for the racing tonight all. Didn't even matter where I placed, the safe but fair side by side action was plenty. Definitely a few sketchy points throughout, @Britz so sorry about taking you out first corner! Hit the inside curb and lost traction. Had to go and watch the replay to see who it was. I slowed down to basically let everyone past just to cover myself, but of course it happened to be the only driver I didn't let through.

@Goof we had some decent back and forth there for a while. Thought I'd share the action in VR POV.

Really enjoyed tonight, not my favourite track but it produced some good racing.
Had a great battle with @RBRHoges97 in the first race and @Jim_aka_The_Man in the last one.
Apologies again for turning you around @Steve Neilson
And shame you couldn’t join in @CobberSupreme

All good. i was buried that deep in the sand I needed the excavator to dig me out and then trying to catch up rebort un-ghosted after a spin right in front causing a deflection into the wall and both front wheels hanging off. I was a bit salty after the hit but on watching the replay I did see you attempt to redress not knowing who you hit off.

Sorry to anyone who I got in the way. That track wasn't overtake friendly and no room anywhere.

Tried to stay out of everyones way as to not ruin anyones race. Couldn't handle the pressure starting from the front. Jumped the start in the last race.

Only 1 more round to go. It has been fun but knowing that I have been improving as time goes on. Just gotta slow the right foot depression cycle down a little otherwise, I will continue to go round and round!!! Maybe TCS 1 is where I need to be and accept that it won't be able to keep up with those that don't use TCS.

    Cheers
    Robert.

Check the replay Sir, you'll be pleasantly or not surprised to see how many have tc on.
    :)
You're doing fine, improving in increments.
Hearing you gee yourself up when your times come down makes me happy.
Take some time to spectate peeps b4 race sometimes helps.

Thanks Steve. Appreciate your positive feedback. Yes I would like a little more close racing - it gets a little boring just me!!! More practice is needed then!
