I have not looked at the replays but I dare say I might have to really rush it a bit because of the format. It could be broken into 2 or 3 vids as I am pretty sure everyone had a highlight or 2.
From what I read of div 2 I don’t think we had too much of carnage apart from the Sooby suddenly car which introduced a restart. I don’t believe there was too much touchy feely.
I could be wrong, thanks again Dash for replays. Otherwise the would not be a highlight for this week

Tried to avoid a car that appeared on my left braking into 1 and turned myself around into someone on the right. Normally just a redress event but due to the short race length glad it was restarted for them.

    Race 1 of 3

None of these videos would have been possible with Das Vanguard's help in recording them. I was a goose all caught up in the moments and forgot to hit record. Again Dash if any accolades come out of these videos it is thanks to you

WELCOME to Season 8 for Gran Turismo 7!!
As always please take a couple minutes to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night.
If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

    ROOM OPEN:
Room captains may have practice rooms open beforehand but should have the official room up by 7:30pm AEDT. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread know if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.

    SIGHT ISSUES:
Before qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again. Type the number of cars you can see in the lobby chat and cross check with other drivers to ensure clarity.

    QUALIFYING : 8pm AEDT for 10 mins.
Feel free to run practice laps prior to qualifying, The host will trigger a 'Room Reset' closer to the commencement of Qualifying.

    PITS ARE OPEN DURING QUALIFYING

RACE START TIME : 8:15pm AEDT

    LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS:
This is up to the room host/captains. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I would suggest only having 1 restart if required due to DSC, due to having to set up the room from scratch and also having to set timed laps in order to set the grid. Please be as reasonable as you can with this....

    TURN 1 LAP 1:
The old saying goes, you can’t win the race on lap 1, but you can definitely lose it. Please be mindful of other drivers on lap 1 coming into turn 1, and for that matter, the entire race. It can be very demoralizing to hot lap on your own for 45 minutes as I'm sure many of you are aware.

    TRACK LIMITS:
As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage, position or time wise. Track Limits protests may be launched by any active driver in the race.

Track Limits will be monitored at turns 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 as well as generally around the entire circuit. Track limits will be defined as two wheels on the red and white kerb, or white line, whichever is further out. The exit of turn 4 is able to be extended over the white line without incurring a penalty.

    CONTACT:
Is to be avoided at all times..... If you make contact with someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Occasionally, Gran Turismo track limits may teleport a disadvantaged driver backwards on circuit to ‘reset’ them, if this occurs at the hand of another driver, IT IS EXPECTED that the driver at fault will wait and redress the position.
Side by side 'rubbing' is racing is allowed and promoted within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room. For clarity surrounding racing room, please feel free to PM @Viperzed
Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass.
So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers.
If you are redressing contact, please do so out of the way of other cars, off the racing line, or if there isn't much room, off track.

    PIT ENTRY/EXIT LINES:
Pit Line Penalties are ON so you will be penalised in game if you cut any part of the entry or exit lines. Be mindful entering the pits that you will need to commit to the left during the main straight. You may receive a penalty for misjudging your line on entry. Be mindful not to impede other cars on your way in. On pit exit, cars exiting the lane are reminded to keep drivers left if there are any cars approaching, you will have to give them space.

    BLUE FLAGS:
Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

    STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS:
This season, the Head Steward will be @Viperzed. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let him know via a PM.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. Stewards may ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captains to make any decision.

    SAVE YOUR REPLAY:
If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved!

    PARKING UP:
If you are unable to continue to race, please enter the pits and leave your game paused without selecting tyres so that your car stays parked in the pits. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occurring for passes happening near the parked car. Quitting off track results in a sometimes race ending lag spike and may be punished in extreme scenarios.

    ATTENDANCE:
Could all drivers please inform Room Captains or make a post on the division thread if they do not intend on racing on Sunday night, Room Captains/ Lobby Hosts are advised not to wait for anyone who has not communicated their intentions. If you do not post in your room thread or psn chat that you cannot attend, a spot may not be held for you for the following weeks race.

    TRACK SPECIFIC - Interlagos
The final round of the season takes place on a fully fledged Grand Prix circuit, with twists and turns defining the mid sector of this famous Brazilian circuit. Mid corner speed is king here and setting up your moves for the straights is the smart way to keep yourself on pace!

Tonight is also Retro round! So bring out your creative side and put on show your retro colours.

Thanks Sooby and Hoges for providing the toughest race I've had this season. I would've thought we were battling for 1st. I'm mentally exhausted with what felt like having to fight corner by corner all race!

As the season progressed, it was clear Div3 was going to be one tough pack of drivers to beat this round. Definitely found my confidence dropping each race and second guessing any overtaking opportunities, especially when hunted down by clearly faster drivers. All I could do was hold on for the ride and hopefully not take anyone out in the process.

I wouldn't say I loved or hated this car, but I'm glad it's over :)
I think the best part was getting a chance to race everyone in the div over the season, producing mixed results due to the less than stable platform compared to say a GT3 car.

Special mention to Savage for providing us all with 5 minutes of fame in the highlight reels, adding to yet again another great season.

This is for you guys, I enjoyed doing it, apart from last week which was a bit too much because alot of RL things to do amongst trying to pump this out. However like my Wife said, she wants me to keep doing my creative stuff. So I will continue to do this next season for Div 3 as long as videos get supplied for editing.

And that's another season done and dusted! Thankyou everyone for being apart of it and enduring another season for RaceOnOz!

We've had a lot of interest already in the next update seeing as though it's incredibly likely we finally get the Toyota GT One back in Gran Turismo!
It is my FULL intention for this car to be the next season car for Rooz. The one downside to this is that the car will only be available via the Legend Car Dealership, but will certainly be available for at least the first week after release! Pending it's price, I urge you all to complete the most recent time trials, earn some coin and get ready to purchase what will hopefully be our next season car!

    Cheers,
    Viper

How much coins will we likely need to have?

Great night last round it was. 3 of us back markers were swapping positions for the first 8-9 laps which was great, then internet issues and Snakes played their part. After that it was a very lonely race for me. Although didn't get lapped this round which is a positive. Getting better with the mental capacity for the whole race and not bugger it up early on.

I agree the 5 minutes of fame is always good.

Cheers boys and thanks for the best fun on a Sunday night you can have with your pants on!

    Until next time.

    Robert.

I'm thinking it could be around 5 mil, but who knows with PD. I'm gonna be doing some grinding in the lead up to the update dropping to make sure I can grab it straight away.

Thanks @Brendan-Stimpy ... It was tough trying to keep ahead of you and @scottb721! Whilst I had some pace in some areas around the track i wasn't consistent particularly through turns 6 to 11 which was a section both you and Sooby were strong. There were a few laps where Sooby was right on my rear bumper through that section but I managed to gain some breathing space coming out of turn 12, however he eventually got passed between turns 5 & 6 (I think), shortly followed by yourself and that was that. Looked like you both has some great racing during the rest of the race. Later on I thought I would get past Sooby after he made a small error at 12 but all was too late.

Also has a close stint with Anders following his off but I made a mistake into turn 2 which put an end to that and he was gone. Also looked like you and Sooby were close to him for a few laps.

Anyway, well done to the Podium and all of Div 3, and shame about @arnold watson and his disconnect something we come to expect from Coffs Harbour, talking of which,@boneslightning or should we say mr snake catcher .. :)

A season of mixed results although I did enjoy it racing with you all. A final call out to @Savage_Duck_75 or the duck, or mirage or whoever ... thanks for all the post race replays, great work.

Cheers Hoges, not Hodges :) :) Hopefully see you all for season 9.
