Im sure most know your forced to buy a Honda Fit(Jazz) at the start but after that your free to buy what ever. Post the car you got as your first car that you had a choice in: Usually it takes me a good hour to decide because i spend most of the time looking at all the new cars and whats the best for the money and what not lol.
I havnt even got the game yet but I can tell you with 100% certainty that my first car will be an AE86 if its available.
Ill be definetely getting a RWD but ill probably go Euro. They usually cost more and ill try make the races competitve, gets pretty boring if you got a car that destroys the competition.
I will have a look at the 'A-spec' races and see which car can do the most of them. I think I bought the ae86 corolla first up in 5 too. Might have a look for an s13 Silvia too cause they can be beefed up for higher pp races. NOS will help too.

First car was the 78 Pontiac Trans Am, The got a 13 Ford Shelby Mustang followed by the Renault race car for the Renaukt World Championship. Hvae been using the Pontiac, Shelby and the prize Honda S2000 for more most of the Nat B and A races. next purchase will probaly depend on what I need to progress through the game.
I usually head towards the Honda dealership early on in GT games to get a Civic. This time I bought an '07 MINI and focussed on the front wheel drive and comapct car events. I drive an 08 MINI in real life.
